Ricky Nelson was my teenage years' Idol ! I loved his voice and his songs and this one brings back nostalgic memories of Lorie...someone I dated at the time. We parted and went separate ways but I never forgot her.

I am so glad I was a teenager in the 1950's-60's. What a wonderful time. Life was so simple back then and the music was (and still is) great.

Such a pure voice ! My Mom used to listen to Ricky Nelson when I was very young ! Brings back child hood memories ! His passing away was definitely a big loss to music !

I was a teen in the early 80s, but my parents were married in 56. Mom used to play this music on Saturdays when she cleaned house. I am tied to it.
I remember 1958 like it was yesterday. I was in Jr. Hi and regularly attended our school sock hops. This song was one of our favorites. Plus, -'58 was the year the music died, with the deaths of R. Valens,, Big Bopper, and Buddy Holly. Thanks for presenting this....

Sharon Sheely only 15 years old wrote this song. She would later be the gf of Eddie Cochran and was in the car when he died. Cochran died while shielding her....so sad.
I was 9 when Eddie died in 1960 but I didn't know his girlfriend wrote this song.
Actually she was his fiance, I believe they were heading back to the US from England to get married, When the tragedy struck.
