as an American, my only exposure to them was that somewhat annoying "Pumping on Your Stereo" music video so I blame that, though even on that song everything else except the way they chant the song title over and over again was pretty great too, in retrospect.
A band who never released a bad album ever. They're all great!! So much so that I'm now going to buy myself a Supergrass t-shirt for having such great taste.
I was 32 in 1997 but felt and acted as an 18 year old. Even then (as one didn't) I didn't fully appreciate how lucky I was with the wonderful music we were gifted then. ( I'm still 18 in my mind) Thank you Supergrass so much!
I am from Israel .90-s it was a happiest time here . Spirit of freedom, changes and hope for the future ,happiness on the streets. Even there was no so much internet and cellular activities back then but the life was easier.People were friendly I was 29 and it was great time .Missing my Tel Aviv of 90s
I turned 18 in 1997 and I still feel like a teenager much of the time! This song takes me back to finishing my A Level exams, the end of the crazy pressure I put myself under
About 2 years ago, I heard this over the PA at the gym. After the first chorus, I broke out my phone and recorded thru the second chorus so I could Shazam it later. What a great song, just great chord changes and melody. I listened to all their stuff, what a great band.
The nineties was the pinnacle of our popular culture. We had the benefit of being able to appreciate all that went before, as well as the scene at the time being totally brilliant.
I don’t know about underrated I’ve never heard anyone giving them shit, but then again the minority of people I know have heard of supergrass🤦🏻♂️ only my parent’s mates. What’s this world coming to haha.
Being an astronomy nerd, I am adding this tune to my star viewing playlist. Love this band! I just discovered them. I am Gen X, but just today, Supergrass, popped up on my algorithm. How did I miss this great band? Oh, I lived in Arkansas at the time. They are awesome.
F**kin brilliant! One of my favorite choruses ever. There's such joyful abandon in the way they play it. As for the outro, I dare say anyone would have the guts to finish a single with a bass driven jam nowadays! A superb band that sound as good now as they did then.
Hang on ! I’m 69 and I’m not talking about the past with these guys their music is not for then ,it’s a testament of how good it’s stood the test of time ,I think they’re fuckin brilliant now !
One of the best organ solos I've ever heard, gotta love Bob.Such a great album moments like the Beatles, proggy bits and the trebor soft mints commercial on the last track.
I love this song, it brings back so many happy memories of my youth, going on road trips with the boys, getting stoned/drunk, living care free. Those days are long gone but all fondly brought back when I play this song! I’m sure I’m not the only one…….😉
To the people who gave this a thumbs down why were you even here in the first place? secondly go back to listening to your crap. If you cannot recognise this as a rockin awesome song you need to get a life!
Im able to have a smoke and play my DRUMS to this REAL LOUD!! playing the bit at the end takes me to a WHOLE 'NOTHER PLACE MAN!!. SUPERGRASS ROOOCCKKK THE UNIVERSE!!!!
It's crazy how the chorus of this song feels like it's literally pulled from another song (like switching stations or something) and yet it still friggin works like hell!
Love the fadeout on this track. It could be Can c 1972 or something somebody did yesterday. This whole album feels timeless in a way that most of the stuff I loved in the mid/late 90s doesn’t anymore
Although I have known this song since the beginning and have the album... just a comment anyway! Belongs to the absolute best songs of the 90s!!! Also a very cool vid!
William Main Because that's what this song does for me too. It feels like a fresh summer morning on a Saturday with the sky absolutely blue and you're going away or off somewhere maybe with your mates, that's what this song makes me feel. But then again, I'm weird.....
No shame at all in saying I was sick of Oasis from being so overplayed - but Supergrass.. when one of their tunes hit the alpine ... oh how it came so clear through the stereo pumping in digital awesomeness... 90ss come back.. we miss uuuuuuuuu!
Holy smokes the drummer's so cool that even in the middle of the desert beating the hell out of those drums he doesn't even break a sweat. Now that's some kick-ass drumming
Supergrass do not get their due as one of the best bands of the 90s. Their music is so fucking good, it truly endures. I’m kind of rediscovering Supergrass at the moment after being a fan in the 90s. The 90s was a truly magical time for music and there were so many great bands but supergrass gets left out of the conversation a lot of the time and they shouldn’t, their songwriting is far beyond most other 90s bands
Horrendously underrated band. I saw them as a supporting act for Foo Fighters back in 2005, and they alone were worth the ticket price.
That just sounds like a perfect gig!
@@jennywilliams6085 Ah it was incredible, and topped only by seeing Oasis at Wembley four years later!
In Cardiff? I saw them there
@@abloke8834 Nah man, Earls Court. Fucking crime that it was demolished.
💯%
One of those sadly undercelebrated gems that made the nineties great, musically. The entire album doesn't contain a single flaw
After many years I've decided belatedly that Supergrass were criminally underated and were the best band of the 90's.
as an American, my only exposure to them was that somewhat annoying "Pumping on Your Stereo" music video so I blame that, though even on that song everything else except the way they chant the song title over and over again was pretty great too, in retrospect.
They still are brilliant the opening track, Tales of Endurance on Road to Rouen (2005) is one of their best songs.
totally! Whose going to see them this summer?
@@sarahjanes8795got a ticket for one of their two sold out gigs in Dublin at the 3Olympia for May 25’ and honestly I can’t wait,I was so lucky
agreed
A band who never released a bad album ever. They're all great!! So much so that I'm now going to buy myself a Supergrass t-shirt for having such great taste.
The t-shirt arrived the other day- awesome!!
Duff Baker I've just ordered a t-shirt off the back of that comment!!
If i ever see somebody wearing a Supergrass t-shirt i,m gonna fucking roar "Respect"!!!!!
Ye'd never know man it could be you, it's a small town;-)
lol I used to have a supergrass T Shirt
Where can I buy one? It's my greatest dream
One of the best songs from the 90s, the last golden age.
Agreed
All time favourite power-pop song
+Juan Carlos Sevinones Rock fucking died and it's a great shame
Agree about the last part.
golden age of what?
I was 32 in 1997 but felt and acted as an 18 year old. Even then (as one didn't) I didn't fully appreciate how lucky I was with the wonderful music we were gifted then. ( I'm still 18 in my mind) Thank you Supergrass so much!
Ik was 30 then, felt exactly the same then💪🏻

I was 18 and I still adore them
I am still there, in the 90's....
Much love.
To me, the best "brit pop" band. Such clear personality and great musicianship
100% the best 90s band
I agree 💯%. They’re real, authentic & wholly unpretentious.
Me too
Whenever I'm feeling old, I remember I was a teenager in the 90s, and I remember how awesome that is! :)
Amen to that
🍻

Tell your friends!
The nineties was the pinnacle of our popular culture. We had the benefit of being able to appreciate all that went before, as well as the scene at the time being totally brilliant.
Nail on the head!
being able to appreciate what went before is something these generations now are missing
Yep and no friggin smart phones
In your opinion
@@bluebellbeatnik4945 what ? then why are we all listening to shit olde than ourselves ?
The drummer is having a blast. great to see someone enjoying themselves so much.
Dave grohl is good for that too, concentrating but having a blast 24/7
Better to check his panties so😂
Oh my god, I love this song. Supergrass are such a cool band!

This is who Oasis would love to be if only they had any talent!
Or the brains...
This band is so ridiculously underrated!
2:44 is basically the essence of this song. What a vibe!
I was 14 in 1997 and I jumped around the room and danced with myself each time this was on. And the bass line just rocks! :)
Being an astronomy nerd, I am adding this tune to my star viewing playlist. Love this band! I just discovered them. I am Gen X, but just today, Supergrass, popped up on my algorithm. How did I miss this great band? Oh, I lived in Arkansas at the time. They are awesome.

Maybe the most perfect song ever recorded.
The timing is amazing, recorded and mixed beautiful.
one of the greatest bands of our time - 3 Amazing musicians that gave it everything
The ending is something special, awesome vibe and bassline. That made me look this song up again.
yeh ending is brilliant with the tabla and bass
I used to repeat a lot the end of this track back on the day. But later on I learned to enjoy the whole experience.
Hang on ! I’m 69 and I’m not talking about the past with these guys their music is not for then ,it’s a testament of how good it’s stood the test of time ,I think they’re fuckin brilliant now !

These boys are great musicians.
Bloody hell... I'd almost forgotten how perfect they were.
I so love the Meserschmitt. I mean, I love the rest of the video, but I so want that car.
This song showed up in my Recommended while I was listening to Blur. This is pretty good, I'll have to check out more of this band's stuff!
I salute you. Enjoy all they have to give, as well as what Blur has to offer x

Great bass playing
Sweet chord changes and uncommon harmonic moments. 🔥☺️
Good thing he arrived in time for the keyboard solo ...
LOL
This album was when I realised supergrass were a proper quality band.
One of the most underrated bassists ever.
One of the best organ solos I've ever heard, gotta love Bob.Such a great album moments like the Beatles, proggy bits and the trebor soft mints commercial on the last track.
The ending with that bass theme is really hot...
Love Supergrass.....what an excellent band!
Pure Talent - and they are going back on tour!
One of the best albums of the 90s, I still can listen to it anytime. Insanely good.

Such a fun song! And such a fun video for it. Whoever made this unpretentious, visually pleasing and humorous video is brilliant.
Great RocknRoll Bands Never Get Underrated...They are Eternal By The Feel Of Their RocknRollness...Earth Soul Blues RocknRoll...Com'on Now!
Amazing and inexcusably underrated rock band. This one song is probably the best of the decade.
These guys bring back the 60s in the 90s.

Supergrass's best song without doubt, such an intense song
Dat bassline at the end, tho.

This is my "shinny days" song.... love it!!!
As great as everyone plays, Mick's driving groove is pure mastery.
Supergrass are reuniting for 2020!!!
You can't get much more awesome this this !!! I blared this stuff in my old apartment. The best days. I still blast this.

Love this song especially the 'jam' from 3:25 on
great song! I remember listening to this back in the day on my walkman
1997 a fabulous year for music with this being a corker of an album.
