Match 1 of 2008 US Open 9-Ball Championship.
Rodney Morris vs. Danny Harriman
The U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship is a production of Billiard Club Network, in association with Accu-Stats Video Productions:
Morris is a MONSTER! with the funniest attitude and coolest down to earth personality!
Nice match. Never doubt Rodney Morris' ability to string together a lot of absolute top level play into a win.
These videos are a true treasure! Always Love the BCN productions
I've been wondering what happened to Danny Harriman. I haven't heard anything about him in a while. It's good to see him back in stroke and playing again.
The miserably tough rack Rodney ran out at 44min is INSANE! Never an easy shot. Awesome tenacity.
This is most definitely one of the best matches I've ever watched
They are both verry good Players....
Thanks you for these videos. More please!
Danny was a great player. He looks much less quirky in 08 than he did in his younger days.
What a beautiful match and comeback!
ketelitian dlm menentukan keputusan untuk melakukan tindakan teknis bermain billyar.... butuh kesabaran dan strategi penempatan bola putih setepat mungkin untuk melakukan tindakan lanjutan.
was harriman a snooker player??? his stance totally like a snooker stance....
some awsome come back
Very cool Danny Harriman
Thanks for this video, hope to see more of it.
This was 2008? Must have been using a camera that was leftover from the Vietnam era. Good match though.
Good shot-making Rodney!
what a comeback from morris!!!
Oh gosh, Morris looks old. You'd never think he was only two years older than Harriman.
Great match. What a comeback by Rodney. However BClub - what happened to the "Watch in High Quality" option. Every time a player moved or shot it left after effects on the screen, and the balls looked fuzzy and out of focus. Is Rodney getting grey headed or was that light reflections from his hair gel?
Rodney is one of my all time favorites, and matches like this is why.
these commentators are hilarious
no kidding, those commercials are annoying as hell. and i agree, good match =)
What a come back. Great example of not giving up. Definite learning experience.
I am not a pro however if you put the cue ball about 3 ins. off the real on either side on the break you'll get something in the side pocket every time. Any comments welcome.
It is not Danny Harriman its Jack Hines!
amazing match.
Thank god there was no commercials.
thanks!
goooood game quirky match indeed
yea i was thinkin that too, he prob shild tried for the top right corner
how do you mess that seven up!!!
Whatever happened to Danny?
He posts on AZBilliards. Just posted some complaints recently about John Schmidt's straight pool run.
this is my first time watch danny in match.. :) anyway he's quite a slow player.. taking more concentration on every shot.. but yeah.. he doesnt use a break cue.. for it.. :) wow.. its my dream to come to usa and play some pool.. :P *Falcon and BK2 User* :p
haha well, and the thing is... sneaky pete is designed for people who dont like flashy looking cues. Also i personally like the design :P
i like Danny's Style...
@agmoose Yeah, it's hard to imagine anyone saying anything bad about him. I met him at a tournament several years back and he was a class act. Btw, what Morris does to Harriman here is what I saw Harriman do to another player. At that level, happens often.
Rodney got straight up lucky. BTW Danny is more from Tulsa than Springfield.
Nope he's from Springfield all the way, and that's where he lives now, he once lived in Tulsa for a few yrs in the 90s!
@@roadrunner381 yes Danny was here from 89 to 2007 actually. Plus I know why be had to go back to Springfield. Wasn't really his choice.
@@roadrunner381 Billy what happened to Brian Jones?
the commentators are good.. i dont see the problem. Replacing Jim Wych would be bad lmao he is good and entertaining. As for the match, good as per usual
really? ive never seen him angry
I'm glad I muted this 5 mins in... I can't imagine listening to those commentators for almost an hour.
naw dude I cant stand Diliberto (old guy) guys way more annoying, his calls are wrong half the time, Jim can be annoying at times too but hes a much better commentator and player for that matter, his calls are always spot on!
Its a keith josey sneaky..one of the best damn sneakys for the money!
What's the deal with Harriman playn with a sneaky? The guy doesn't even have his own break cue.
Can come check
Deliberto doesn't have a clue. It might have known straight pool at one time, but that's it.
@aznelf13 I dunnno who is wynch and who is diliberto... but the old guy is really good.. talking about the game.. heard him in a few games already.. The young guy just talks and talks and talks some of the things he says are not necesary at all... its really irritating. And he always talks so loudly after every 9 ball pot....
I knew it the moment i made my comment someone like you would say that...There's nothing wrong it blah blah blah.
@RayHusted but dilberto is so senile, all he really does is agree with wynch
@eddiethelock i didnt say he's bad, just sayin he's rambling redundant things
yes! ;)
there's nothing wrong with it? I prefer a sneaky pete myself =)
you should become a pro. i mean, with your knowledge of the gameplay ... :)
danny harriman is the only one who disliked the video
tough to play when your nose tickles.
@trumanhw That was a ridiculous rack. Kept getting worse every shot.
danny harriman warota!!!
He was convicted of indecent exposure [and not to a child btw], yes. That was, however, 17 years ago.
wtf is going on here
get the chalk off, pool table cleaner....
Danny says of Rodney, "You hit it good" without saying anything about the english he used or the speed to make it good for shape on the next shot. This is what commentators should be making comments on. However, on predicted shots (which are, unfortunately, most of what commentators do today) before players even shoot, everything about the predicted shot is described in detail, the english, direction, speed, angle and so on. Many times it's all wrong because the player decides to shoot differently than what was predicted which is confusing to the novice. If comments could be made instead on shots players decided to shoot AFTER shooting them to explain why it was decided to shoot it that way, no mistakes would be made and the novice would understand it better, I believe.
Youtub
The commentators are so annoying .
Inkl
@rams25 I think he looks more like Rob Lowe.
