I pre-ordered this and received it last Saturday thinking it would be another great 3rd party transforming figure. But I wouldn't recommend this to any Transformers fan like me: the plastic seems easily breakable, the shoulder joints should have been diecasted, a lot of tabs doesn't stay put, the satellite dish always fall off the shell and the transformation is scary to do as some joints seem too weak.
Now you have to get the other versions of the turtles and I know they made the same transforming turtle robot, but with the other turtles, headband and weapons
I still say that the Party Wagon should have been a Metalhead figure; from a marketing perspective, it makes sense to me. It's a turtle robot that they could play around with the proportions to make him into a transformable figure. Plus, I like Metalhead, in general, but oh well. Other than the feet looking a bit worrysome, I think this look great overall. I wonder if they will make a transformable Turtle Blimp figure?
I agree getting metalhead would have been amazing since we have all the other turtles in the mecha line. I know we have seen prototype pictures of the Donatello into a helicopter. I really hope Raph or Mikey will turn into the blimp. Or at least the glider part of the blimp. I would love to see Krang into the technodrome and shredder into the drill vehicle they used in the tv show. The only thing I don't like about Leo is I think the van should have been Donatello so his bow staff would turn into the turrets / cannons on top the swords look ok.
Just bought it from Kowkistoy, it cost $190 and it was free shipping, and it still took 10-14 days to arrive by air. Why is the shipping cost so high on the link you recommended, and it’s also shipped by sea?
I get why HeatBoys have done this however for me, both turtle mode and vehicle mode suffer because of the engineering and what each mode is trying to do. Turtle mode looks completely out of proportion and the vehicle mode is a a mess. The display is unpainted plastic looks flimsy and cheap aswell. IMO HeatBoys should stick with their Mech line of figures as they have been great so far and a breath of fresh air in design, engineering, articulation, paint and level of detail and accessories. Their upcoming Donatello looks amazing
It's not really a great concept. The turtle form is too blocky, and without the colors you'd barely know it's a tmnt. Also, the paint is seen in the video flaking away throughout the transformation. And I didn't understand if the elbow and hip joints are scary stiff or just don't move....the posability is probably sub-par with this one. All in all, I think you have to be a serious collector to buy this one

in vehicle mode, it looked like the front wheels werent touching the ground because of some of the blue parts extending further below. is it a flaw?
I transformed mine today same issue, I can’t seem to figure out how the legs are supposed to be set so the front end is aligned correctly.

Heard the quality is not good as the other mecha one….are the weapons also made out of plastic? How durable are they compared to the other ones?
It has some die cast in the feet and in the elbows, possibly elsewhere. But the rest is this poor quality KO feel plastic that fractures easily
