I think this goes for the most Harleys. Just be careful and think first what you are doing. I usually star doing stuff before thinking and then I'm f*cked. :)
Territory Films thanks, it is the same... I took a look after watching this. However the little shit I purchased it from removed the factory harness for the left turn signal so now I have to find that before I can install my after market 😳 further down the rabbit hole I go
I bought new bullet lights and they have 3 wires black, green, white. My original ones look just like yours purple and black. How do I get the new ones to work on my bike?
So my issue is that I dont know how to remove the plastic cover with out breaking it. You use a flathead screwdriver to remove it. But do you have to spin the thing or you just leverage it out of place? Do you push the plastic in then out or just out?
I have a 2006 fat boy screaming eagle cvo. My lights stops working off and on. I hot to keep turning the bike off and on until the lights start working again. Any advice?
Mine has no bolts that I've been able to find, trying to put a bag kit on an 09 FXSTC with a conversion kit with the help of my girlfriend which is proving to be stressful enough "it's hot I don't wanna grab tools omg you're rude jeez why are you so angry why are you so stressed just break em off omg" as you can imagine is quite stressful, so, before I Kurt Cobain her and then myself, what can I do to get these turn signals off?
@@territoryfilms you are correct. Got it all done and I'm pretty satisfied with the end result. I'm starting a project to bagger my harley on a budget. So far I'm only 189.00 in for saddlebags, mounts, etc. Next I'm ordering a batwing fairing, and then a stretched fender.
I had exactly the same problem, with the same indicator, and did everything the same way you did. Bloody thing STILL doesn't work !. AAARRRGGGHHH !!!!.
The guy never said a word but showed so accurately with writing and fully zoomed in details.

Is this the same procedure for most HD's? I'm taking on this myself tomorrow on my 2005 Sportster

Thanks for this upload.
Why do you need to disconnect the battery? If the power is off do you still need to do that?
Would this be the same process for a 1999 sportster? Awesome video though!
In which part the flasher of a sportster 1200, model 2000 is placed, thanks
Do I really need to disconnect the battery
It's a common rule. When you working with electronics on a bike (or a car), always disconnect power source.
Don't have a wire issue. I have a mounting post that needs replaced. Any tips on how to remove wire from the clip without having to cut it?
I´m not sure if this is helpful but it's worth of watching: th-cam.com/video/57T3U8d-zdM/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for the video!

There should be a slot in the plastic cover that you can put a tiny flat head in and pop it off. If not then you should just be able to pull it off.
@@jerrydolan4955 Thanks Ill try that later.
@@jerrydolan4955 Yes, that's correct. I should have film it. My bad. Thank you for advice.

It sounds like some kind of connection failure. You should check every connections, every terminal strip ect.
Ok. I asked around a little bit... There might be some tarnish at ignition switch or there is grounding problem. Check the wires. :)
Good stuff right here thank you
gery good.... I have Iron with LED 3-1 lights. the problem is OPEN the turn. the plastic seems to be not removable...
Yeah my blinker was stripped out. Its just floppy. Ha ha
Very good!
Thank you!
So I bent my bolt so now its taped
Same
Thank you!
Yup. My 85 sporty has like no clearance tire to wire. Dumb design

I think the bolts goes only thru side struts and not thru fender... So bolt end is hiding between them. ...I think.

Mine isn’t inside the fender 😢 it’s inside that strip along side the fender.. I gotta take that whole shit off to get to it
That sucks. But you can do it. I'm not a mechanic so I usually do everything thru trial and error.

legend ty
Mine doesnt work like that wish they did. I have an all thread they suck
Sorry to hear that. But I think you can get right bolt at almost any hardware store..?
Territory Films yup it needs a nut on the inside to hold it bc its stripped.
nice

Very helpful thanks for the video!
Such sad music
Could we have just one Harley Davidson workshop video without some ' orrible rock music ?
I'll make one with waltz... :)
Very irritating background music! I don't want to hear that SSHHIITT!!!!
