Great insights from both, Jivraj, your line of questions and research and Mr Sinha's honest responses, make for a memorable podcast conversation. Well done..
well founders do not have much control on thought process that prevails ,I agree many institutes in India including top notch ones just cut copy paste from teaching methods to research value system moral compass of what is right and wrong hence ideology too , can't blame just the founder, you see that in top tier us colleges like harvard too minus out and out research ones like mit , most indians donot realize how some tier 2 colleges in US is better than tier 1 in certain fields where research in tier 2 US college outperforms Tier 1/ivy ( mostly based on ratings and recommendation letter stuffs), in UK however there's some truth in rankings , eg- Cambridge/ Oxford is any day better than Harvard for medicine/ biotech/ social sciences, SciencesPo Paris is better for Pol Science vis-a vis US or Imperial College London takes the cake in pure science. eth Zurich in engineering etc. Just as IIT B might be a top IIT but there are branches in old NITs which can be better.
What a misleading title: over-hyped. How can one man change whole "Indian Education" by starting two colleges. Ashoka University has a poor reputation. ISB is also down after the initial positioning as better than IIMs.
Sorry to say, both universities have nice thoughts and only the rich have brains. Such an expensive system will help India for sure. "Universities must accumulate each way of thoughts." My only way of thinking is correct, is anarchy and a rigid way of thinking. Rigid thinking is self explanatory.
Over rated institute. Like other private institutions, more focus on branding. They recruited old prestigious professors, who renowned and enjoying their Retirement. Not comparable with IIM and IIT Bombay, IISc etc.
What education are you talking about??? Education system in India is Pathetic.. You are making fool of yourself by saying "Ashoka University transformed India's education system.. what a joke😂😂
Excited to watch this episode with the OG Education Leader of India
