on the other hand, Present! sans is the sans you fight in MINDLESS [SOULESS], the sans who has lost himself, the sans whos goals have blurred and can only imagine killing you.
and Future! sans? well. that's for you to figure out yourself.
and if you're confused whether these would all be different sans' they are not. its just an expression of some sort. they are all the same sans, just changed mindsets.

i imagine this as sans and the souls he was originally puppeteering in MINDLESS [SOULESS] are starting to try and take him down with you, the player. he struggles to fight both souls and the player at once, and eventually gets defeated.

I can truly feel the intensity with this theme. It's no longer an all out attack, it's a struggle, a challenge for both Sans and the human to defeat each other before Sans is brought down with the human souls. This one seems to emphasize the pain and struggle, and while I prefer the first phase song, this one is still great. As well, I'd like to ask what lemotifs, if any, you used? I thought I heard a Spear Of Justice/Battle Against A True Hero lemotif somewhere in there...

My own head canon for future sans is a skeleton whose soul is still there but even more empty than before, he's given up. He can't continue anymore his goals ultimately being futile. Does he even care anymore? Who knows but if you ever ask him what to do to stop them he'll tell you there isn't a way and to give up like he did. He's lost even more of himself and may never come back from it. (Don't ask me why I decided to make funny skeleton man depressed lmao)

Warning very personal comment.
i have always loved undertale aus and i will stand by that probs for a while longer, i am aware that some people are sick of them especially when it uses the same idea but i have never really felt that way or cared i like what i like and that's the end of it, the 2 Phases you have made are really good it gives me a drive to overcome the piano just screams mental pain if it had a melody and for that reason is why i feel so much there, we have all gone threw shit that sometimes we can not control, and sometimes it can be to much for us to handle and i know how that feels, my dad committed suicide 4 years ago and what should've been the end of that a family drama started that was only there to hurt people i love and me, to make matters worse the one person in my fam i thought was trustworthy turned out to be an ass talking behind peoples backs manipulating them ( there have been a bunch of things he has done but i won't list it all because it's a lot) it sucks because despite unfriending him he found ways to find out what i was doing or saying, my friends and I talked openly about it with each other threw dms, and he found out we were doing that, so he tried to see what we were talking about by logging on to my friends discords and at one point guessing his best friends iPhone password and a few days latter joking of trying to find my address and coming over because it would be funny, and because of how he is my friends are still friends with him, at this point i did not feel safe at all being around my friends and stopped being on discord for a full month and because how he is whatever i say to my friends he will find ways to gain that info even if it means going through his friends computers and iPhones and guessing the passwords, because of all of that and because of how he is and the fact my friends are still friends with him, i don't feel safe even talking to them, which has led to me to disconnecting all the friends i still have and spent years with because of how unsafe it is and that he will use my freinds to get info of what i was doing or saying which is going to happen today, and i shit you not that is only the short of it, why this song really hits me is for personal reasons but the hope this song gives is extremely strong for me and gives me the will to say fuck you ima make my life better and overcome that shitty past its why i love au theams so much because it gives me that will power to push through, im sorry for the overly personal comment i guess i just needed to talk to someone before this 4 year living hell is over it may end sad, but that is the end and i do have mixed feelings but ultimately im glad It's going to end and i can finally put myself back together thanks for reading to anyone that reads this to the end goodbye.
