Hiking Yosemite’s Mist Trail to Nevada Falls (RV Road trip!)

Visiting Yosemite we knew we were going to get at least one solid hike in! We chose to do the John Muir Mist Trail hike to Nevada Falls (passing by Vernal Falls on the way) and man was it a bit harder than we expected. It's mostly a steep uphill hike but the views are stunning as you get to see multiple waterfalls and many great viewpoints/lookout points.
With this video we hoped to give you a guys a window into what doing the hike would actually look like! Definitely make sure to bring a good amount of water as I ran out pretty quickly (Newb mistake). This time of year there was very few people on the trail so we felt like we had it all to ourselves.
We also really enjoyed staying at the Indian Flat RV Park just a 10 minute drive outside of Yosemite because it had full RV hookups (unlike most of Yosemite which provides only dry camping) and how conveniently close it was to the Yosemite entrance gate. When we come back we'll definitely stay there again.

I love that trail I hiked it when I was 45 years old with my brother we went to half dome and back in 1 day I did months of training before hand The only thing I didn’t train for was the upper body strength to climb the cables at the end when we got back I was wiped out one of the hardest hikes I have ever done but loved it we also did Yosemite falls hike the day before loved that hike also

When we did the mist trail, it was a late spring melt and the mist was heavy like rain. And COLD! Love your videos.

Hey y'all, really like your videos, came across your channel yesterday while looking for stuff to do in Monterey. Just wanted to say don't get discouraged, you can definitely make it to Half Dome and back down in a day, but you'd just need to start earlier- and be prepared to be out there all day. I did clouds rest and half dome in one go, started at 6am and got back down to the parking lot at 9ish. You don't need any fancy equipment, just the usual: water/food/flashlight/comfy shoes with good grip & gloves so you don't mess up your hands coming down the half dome cables. You will need a permit to climb half dome, and they can be hard to come by so plan ahead. Also, it looks like ya'll did the alternate winter route around the mist trail. Since the mist trail is always covered in water it gets icy in the winter and they close it off. I recommend you guys go back and check it out when it opens up again because that experience is amazing, you guys will love it.

We use a Panasonic GH5 (with a wide lens) and the new GoPro 9. The GoPro is surprisingly great quality and super small if you want something that's small enough to fit in your purse and is super 'incognito' when filming! (ex: people sometimes react weird when I film them with GH5, but when i film with the gopro, people could literally care less. And we can get more authentic shots!)

In an earlier video you talked about your wifi choice. Is the wifi you bought working well?
Hey! We have a wifi extender and it works really well so far but only when we have a wifi signal to begin with of course. So we knew going it, it was truly to extend an already existing present signal, without one it doesn't do anything. Hope that helps!
