I'm a 60-ish black moderate Democrat and I was so offended by this song that I immediately added it to my Playlist. Best song I've heard in years! Not a Left/Right issue for me, but expresses a disdain for criminal behavior. I stand with Mr. Aldean on this issue.

I live in a small town. My barber lives down the street, the teacher that taught people parents is still there, the kid across the streets scans my groceries. We have monthly events thay everyone shows up to. Something happens to anyone it effects everyone in some way.

Well, that shit might fly in the city, good luck Try that in a small town." He is obviously saying the gun-control supported in big cities would not be tolerated in a small town. However, I saw a media report edit out the middle part of that version, playing only "Got a gun that my granddad gave me. Try that in a small town." With this omission the media made it sound like he was saying he will use the gun his grandfather gave him on someone bringing their city values to his small town so they can then claim Aldean is promoting violence. It is blatant dishonesty like this that is pushing the narrative that this song video is racist and promoting violence.

My sentiment exactly. Rap has always berated women and encites violence. But nobody makes a sound. The only people I see trying to stir the pot are the same people that the song speaks about.

This is also the same courthouse that's close to his home as well as being in the movie Hanna Montana, that's from Candace Owens. She's very much in support of this video & is actually friends with Jason & his wife. ❤
This was also the courthouse where in 1927 350 white men draged a black teenager out of the jail and lynched him from the second story window. Im glad Candace Owens is a supporter of this dog whistle song. Ask yourself "why" was this video or song released now?

He was on the stage at Las Vegas when the gunman began shooting. Wounding and killing people. It was certainly a traumatic experience for everyone. Were any of these critics present there? I live in a town so small, remote and poor we do not have a town police department, but we do not need one because we take care of our own. We do have one not too strictly enforced but almost universally followed gun law in our small town. Everyone must own at least one firearm, be trained in its use and have sufficient ammunition on hand to provide for personal as well as community defense. We have had that law on the books for years and years and you know what else besides police we do not have? Crime and racism, we tolerate neither. God bless America and Nucla Colorado. When there's a big incidence of violence... or a major fire or catastrophic event in a small town... who usually shows up to help out? Big city swat teams... police... fire departments... county sheriff... the FBI... etc. Because that's what big towns and the federal government do.

Personally I'm all for social justice and PEACEFUL PROTESTING, BUT i'm totally against ri0ting and lo0ting! I'm fully in support of the Black Lives Matter moto because I believe in the value of ALL people! Everyone on this earth should be treated equally & fairly; regardless of race, religion, nationality, sexual preferences... And all people should also be treated equal under the law! But I do NOT support the organization BLM {down below I explain in more detail why that is the case} Here are some of the confirmed numbers & facts about these 2020 ri0ts: - Between 19 (confirmed) and 30 people where Kil1ed during these ri0ts - Hundreds of people got wOunded. - An estimated value of 2 billion dollar of private property damage was destr0yed *(I even heard estimates between 2-4 billion $) - 2,000+ law enforcement officials and an a very lage number of civilians where seriously injured (as of July 31, 2020) - Hundreds of police cars were destr0yed. This is all from everyone's tax money and also made it more difficult for the police to carry out their duties later on. - Hundreds of stores where completely destr0yed and/or looted and never recovered from that. Because of that a large amount of Mom & Pop stores completely disappeared in some neighborhoods. Those people lost all that they ever worked for, because of that. - On top of that law enforcement & other emergency services *(ambulances & fire) where so busy a lot of the time *(because of these ri0ts) that they could not react in time to other emergency's -> witch resulted in even more deaths. - After the ri0ts and the defund the police movement; a lot of (good) cops left law enforcement for ever. -> This resulted in a very large spike in the murder rates for several large liberal cities. The most affected where mostly poor and minority neighborhoods where the crime and murder rates spiked with sometimes 150% - I have not a positive opinion about the ORGANISATION BLM. Here are some of my reasons: 1) The main corrupt BLM organizers embezzled more than 120 million dollars of donor money and bought 5 (very) large mansions and other things from that money. They did very little for the black community and mainly used that organisation to enrich themselves! *(I recently heard that they officially declared bankruptcy. But they are keeping the money and all of these mansions) 2) Some of the mission statements of the BLM organisations is that they where in favor of breaking down the (traditional) black nuclear family and instead favored alternative family structures. If you do know anything about sociology; it is exactly the break down of traditional family's that causes a lot of the problems in the black community. So BLM organizers being against that is not helpful at all i.m.h.o. 3) In several interviews one of the heads & founders of BLM *(Patrisse Cullors) declared herself a hardcore Marxist and Communist. But instead it is exactly she who bought all these mansions with money that she took from the BLM donors. These are just the facts and my two cents opinion! Double Standard? Of what? Of protection and stopping crime. Big cities allow violent crime. The citizens in small towns or communities tend to stick together to stop crime even when law enforcement doesn't.
No one had a problem with the courthouse being used in Hanna Montana and other films/videos/shows because it is close to Nashville. It is also the courthouse in the town he lives in.
I never listened to Jason Aldean before this controversy. I will say this ... I live in a small town, and I grew up in an area that was primarily black. We live day to day, black and white, among one another with no problems whatsoever. We work together with no problems. I think this is the case for most people. In viewing this video, a white guy is setting fire to the flag, a white girl is screaming and spitting in the officer's face, a white woman is one among the rioters walking with her middle fingers up in the air. Regardless of the color of the people involved, this is about anarchy. This has happened in Virginia by people that were paid and bused into the area, paid for by powerful people who want to manipulate and divide the people. The media and those in power do not want to portray the truth. They apparently want the anarchy, but you are not supposed to speak of it. There is nothing racist about this video. This is about people with an agenda trying to proclaim racism where it does not exist in order to divide people from one another. Remember, united we stand; divided we fall. We need to buck this ignorant narrative. This is the best reaction video that I have seen yet. You have presented all aspects clearly and effectively, and I agree with you. Thank you. On a final note, juxtapose this song against Billie Holiday's, "Strange Fruit." Historically, it is one of the most important songs, in my opinion. Would this be banned as well? Truth is often uncomfortable. Think back to 9/11 and the videos of people jumping off the highrises. The media did not want to show those either. The truth is not always pretty but it should never be denied.

I live in a town so small, remote and poor we do not have a town police department, but we do not need one because we take care of our own. We do have one not too strictly enforced but almost universally followed gun law in our small town.
Everyone must own at least one firearm, be trained in its use and have sufficient ammunition on hand to provide for personal as well as community defense. We have had that law on the books for years and years and you know what else besides police we do not have? Crime and racism, we tolerate neither.

When there's a big incidence of violence... or a major fire or catastrophic event in a small town... who usually shows up to help out? Big city swat teams... police... fire departments... county sheriff... the FBI... etc. Because that's what big towns and the federal government do.

Question; why does the truth hurt so much? This happens in most small towns. A few black folks are mad at what? On his social media Jason Aldean clearly stated that he is against the division & violence in daily live and particularly the violence during the 2020 riOts.
Personally I'm all for social justice and PEACEFUL PROTESTING, BUT i'm totally against ri0ting and lo0ting!
I'm fully in support of the Black Lives Matter moto because I believe in the value of ALL people! Everyone on this earth should be treated equally & fairly; regardless of race, religion, nationality, sexual preferences... And all people should also be treated equal under the law!
But I do NOT support the organization BLM {down below I explain in more detail why that is the case}
Here are some of the confirmed numbers & facts about these 2020 ri0ts:
- Between 19 (confirmed) and 30 people where Kil1ed during these ri0ts
- Hundreds of people got wOunded.
- An estimated value of 2 billion dollar of private property damage was destr0yed *(I even heard estimates between 2-4 billion $)
- 2,000+ law enforcement officials and an a very lage number of civilians where seriously injured (as of July 31, 2020)
- Hundreds of police cars were destr0yed. This is all from everyone's tax money and also made it more difficult for the police to carry out their duties later on.
- Hundreds of stores where completely destr0yed and/or looted and never recovered from that. Because of that a large amount of Mom & Pop stores completely disappeared in some neighborhoods. Those people lost all that they ever worked for, because of that.
- On top of that law enforcement & other emergency services *(ambulances & fire) where so busy a lot of the time *(because of these ri0ts) that they could not react in time to other emergency's -> witch resulted in even more deaths.
- After the ri0ts and the defund the police movement; a lot of (good) cops left law enforcement for ever. -> This resulted in a very large spike in the murder rates for several large liberal cities. The most affected where mostly poor and minority neighborhoods where the crime and murder rates spiked with sometimes 150%
- I have not a positive opinion about the ORGANISATION BLM. Here are some of my reasons:
1) The main corrupt BLM organizers embezzled more than 120 million dollars of donor money and bought 5 (very) large mansions and other things from that money.
They did very little for the black community and mainly used that organisation to enrich themselves!
*(I recently heard that they officially declared bankruptcy. But they are keeping the money and all of these mansions)
2) Some of the mission statements of the BLM organisations is that they where in favor of breaking down the (traditional) black nuclear family and instead favored alternative family structures. If you do know anything about sociology; it is exactly the break down of traditional family's that causes a lot of the problems in the black community. So BLM organizers being against that is not helpful at all i.m.h.o.
3) In several interviews one of the heads & founders of BLM *(Patrisse Cullors) declared herself a hardcore Marxist and Communist. But instead it is exactly she who bought all these mansions with money that she took from the BLM donors.
These are just the facts and my two cents opinion!

I never listened to Jason Aldean before this controversy. I will say this ... I live in a small town, and I grew up in an area that was primarily black. We live day to day, black and white, among one another with no problems whatsoever. We work together with no problems. I think this is the case for most people. In viewing this video, a white guy is setting fire to the flag, a white girl is screaming and spitting in the officer's face, a white woman is one among the rioters walking with her middle fingers up in the air. Regardless of the color of the people involved, this is about anarchy. This has happened in Virginia by people that were paid and bused into the area, paid for by powerful people who want to manipulate and divide the people. The media and those in power do not want to portray the truth. They apparently want the anarchy, but you are not supposed to speak of it. There is nothing racist about this video. This is about people with an agenda trying to proclaim racism where it does not exist in order to divide people from one another. Remember, united we stand; divided we fall. We need to buck this ignorant narrative. This is the best reaction video that I have seen yet. You have presented all aspects clearly and effectively, and I agree with you. Thank you. On a final note, juxtapose this song against Billie Holiday's, "Strange Fruit." Historically, it is one of the most important songs, in my opinion. Would this be banned as well? Truth is often uncomfortable. Think back to 9/11 and the videos of people jumping off the highrises. The media did not want to show those either. The truth is not always pretty but it should never be denied.
