This is when visual inspection is very crucial,as you can spent whole day trying to reset or program bios when noticing that all system voltage are available, are not missing.thinking more than bios reset or program, explore check other components or all components-here you have found a blown component, doing so it's marvellous

It's always good to start with visual inspection of the board then the power rail then the input mosfets and the current resistor if there is no short.
I do hope you removed that flux...
    Further more... great repair🎉

❤❤❤❤yeah bro next time if you see a rondom component and u dont have schematic ,sometime I use google datashaeet to just check the code printed on a component to just identity what is that component ,and from there we can conclude what Doe's that component actually is doing on a dell
And sometimes it happens that you replace a component then booooo ,it blows again, so its better to Cross check and make sure there is no any other reason that made that component to blow
For me if i am not wrong, may be that component is for power ID track ...😅😅😅😅by the ways thanks for a very good teaching ,I appreciates😊
