unpopular opinion, I get that its a sim. but at same time since we don't have actual feedback systems, making things harder isn't always better. Def is a fine balance but like, seriously the higher barrier of entry the harder it is for newbies to get into this game.
I do hope that MX games become popular enough for some sort of sim rig system to be viable for a company or person to come up with.
As someone that played the game and raced it when there was only really the MSM bikes i no they suck but they took so much time to get good at and they have everything you are asking for rear end slips all the time but the power it actually took skill to make a big jump . Ive played most OEMs and seen comments that they will suck but when they come out everyone figurs it out. Harder is better for a sim its satisfying to put the time in and get good. I remember playing MX sim and thinking no way i could ever get around a track same with Bikes .
The tire offcentering is how much the tire rolls from side to side on the wheel. When you put a certain amount of side force on a tire, it’ll eventually try to unseat it from the bead on the wheel (aka tries to rip the tire off the wheel sideways)
preview 2s with a little less traction is the move

I like the sliding, much more realistic from previews before
I love the V4. I think the 250f’s felt the best in comparison to the other preview versions

i personally think the first preview was best, The racing would be alot closer, and ppl gotta tip toe around the track, i like that.
Yo Mr Physics here :D Its common that wheels of bigger sizes roll better and faster, so the 120/90 has more grip and speed compared to the 120/80.
The 100 / 1100 is the sand tire for obvious reasons :D So the test of slip in SX was nice, to see the differnce, but not as meaningful. Maybe compare the Tyre on the B18 / B19 on Snadtracks. Cheers.
you should put preview bikes 1,2,3,4 all on the screen to see the real difference between all of them
Idk what size you were running on southwick (100?) but from how it looked anyways, it appears to dance around a fair amount and looks really good to me in the sand! Controllable but slidy
so irl most 450s pro or not on a motocross track are running 120 rears, 110s usually have not enough grip. So you saying on a 450 u shouldn’t run just one tire makes no sense, cus 120 is the standard. 250s run 110s only as well, mainly bc they don’t have the power to move the 120 to be viable. All i’m saying is these tires seem realistic as it’s been to me.
Was thinking the exact same. You would never run a 100 rear tire on a 450 irl.

I am at 45 hours in the game, Have my throttle setup really really numb and less sensitive and for me these beta 4 bikes on tracks without a berm are borderline impossible to ride without sliding out.
I was having same issue. Lean back a little in the turns or sit down in turns to get the back tire a little more planted
@@Shrapnel-sq2uk already sitting in turns, I have tried leaning back which I was already doing with the older bikes but IMHO the rear tires on these previews are way to prone to slip. Try the the yz250f on assen default track and tell me how it does.

Slip shouldn't be the same between a 100 and a 120...
there needs to be a redeeming quality that the 100 has to offer, doesn't have to be the same but it's pretty bad rn

You are misunderstanding what I'm saying. So let me help you out. The 100 is a hard tire to control. That is fine. What's not fine is that it is so much harder to control than the 120/90 that the tire is unusable in comparison. If it was much faster in the whoops or allowed you to get more speed in transitions it could be more usable. For an update that took 9 months to push, and is specifically focused on the tires, this is not good.
