    I like what Tudor is doing so far this year, things can get really exciting when they switch their attention to Pelagos. The watch is pretty cool, but The Zenith A384 Shadow is still ahead on my list for a blacked out, understated watch that screams I am quite expensive once spotted by a watch enthusiast.

    I've always appreciated the snowflake hands. I have a ETA Pelagos and it's still my favourite watch for legibility. I presume this is the same, despite not actually being able to see the hands - only the lume is visible. I do agree with you that the absence of a lume pip is quite an oversight. It's a dive watch, it meets all other dive watch requirements but it failed on one of the more fundamental things. How difficult would it have been to add a lume pip like the other BB, or inlay a lume pearl like with the ceramic Pelagos bezel?

    Good video, I liked the style of the video of you walking around. I think it’s a great looking watch and that everyone should have a blacked out watch. I have a Hamilton khaki automatic titanium that has a Matte black case and dial so I am probably not going to get another blacked out watch unless I sell that one. Might not be the most expensive but it has some sentimental attachment from when I got my Doctor’s coat. Between this, the newer chronos, and the silver 58 Tudor is doing a lot of cool stuff that honestly is very different from Rolex and interests me more at the moment

    Good review, if perhaps not too deep. Tudor is really taking it to Omega. The METAS certified movement is impressive. The off white index and hands makes the watch quite legible. I love the polished edge of the case - it really pops in a sea of brushed ceramic. Not keen on the unreadable bezel. Great price point. I was looking at a Pelagos and this watch is making me pause and think. I wish they would update the Pelagos. It certainly is time...

    Many thanks for sharing Adrian. Without a doubt it's a nice looking watch and for the money by comparable standards is good value. I must admit I was very tempted to register my interest as it would go really well with a new B&J watch roll in black. Why not? Well I think you summed it up very well in the video, it's a dive watch that cannot be used for diving, it seems at odds with the way Tudor has been going with retro inspired (not recreations) watches but I have to admit having another manufacturer with a METAS compliant watch is a huge plus. The black bezel would almost be redundant for timing things, something that I and probably a few others certainly use a dive bezel for (5 minutes to boil an egg for example) as its not the easiest thing to read. I really like Tudor though, I have a Pelagos and BB58 and so far have been very impressed with them both. Finally I would prefer a brown B&J watch roll as it matches the coffee better. Keep up the great videos Adrian, I like the 'I say it as I see it' view.

  • @richardman28

    I personally think this is the best tudor release this year. Metas certified , ceramic, beautiful presented open case back, limited supply, beautiful looking, in house movement and for the price point it's amazing value. If this had a rolex stamp on it, it would be 8k not £3,550. Ordered one and looking forward to adding it to my collection. I know its not for everyone but it's going to be a classic in years to come. Tudor is a brand where Rolex was years ago. Their watches will not be at this reasonable price point forever. Getting a collection of tudors at the moment before I cant afford them.

    I don't like the fact that they didn't apply any luminous material to the bezel but I somewhat like the watch in general, hence I need to see this watch in real life

      For sure it would be stupitidy and wd look ugly. Only if the luminous was on 12'o Clock.

    There’s extremely high contrast between the dial and the hands/indices, looks super easy to read the time to me. ‘Difficulty telling the time’ seemed like an inaccurate observation to me, but hey I haven’t seen the watch in person.

      Yeh, I didn't understand what point he was making there. Couldn't have much more contrast.

    • @cts1549
      @cts1549 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      i believe he was referring to the minute track being gray on a black dial. you can really only get the ballpark time at a glance

    • @hmaxconrad4383

      Maybe it's more on reading the rotating bezel when using it deep underwater.

    • @cts1549
      @cts1549 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hmaxconrad4383 thats a totally valid complaint but i dont think its applicable to most people like reading the minutes. gray on black isnt legible but neither is the black on black bezel. Truth be told this watch looks cool but isnt practical

    • @ShaunKVideos
      @ShaunKVideos 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cts1549, this watch has a very good contrast ratio and most of the time … people are looking at their watch with a glance to get the time so the legibility with the minutes is really irrelevant. As long as the hands and hour indices are lumed, you’ll get a good read of the time with a quick glance.

    Great watch. Not necessarily for me, but it’s cool. I can’t really see it being a one and done, but to add to a collection as a unique piece I could see that.

    I was going to go with the Seamaster 300 in white but think this blows it out of the water

    I'm not a big fan of ceramic watches, but it's great to see a Metas certified movement from Tudor and the price is super competitive for what they're delivering.

    I think it's a cool looking watch.
    I agree the functionality is brought to Questions. And yes the movement and certification are huge plus it's a great value for what it is. Definitely a conversation peace.
