As a mature Christian, this is the best Narnia book. As a 33 year old man, I cried when reading this book to my children a couple of times. “Who are you?” asked Shasta. “Myself,” said the Voice, very deep and low so that the earth shook: and again “Myself,” loud and clear and gay: and then the third time “Myself,” whispered so softly you could hardly hear it, and yet it seemed to come from all around you as if the leaves rustled with it. That is just beautiful.
Finally finished this book over a decade after I started it after seeing a live performance of The Magician’s Nephew. This is now my favorite Narnia book. Loved the Aslan scenes. They brought tears to my eyes.
I see the stream springing from the Lion's pawprint as Lewis referencing Ezekiel chapter 47:1 ("I saw water coming out from the Temple & flowing eastwards..") & John 4:14 ("the water that I shall give, will become in them a spring of water, welling up to eternal life").

how come this lecture is cut so short and the other book lectures are complete?
