I saw one of Monica Bellucci’s movies for the first time a few years ago. It was an older one & prior to that I had no idea who she was. I have never ever thought someone could be so incredibly and naturally beautiful. Seriously, I had to watch her other movies immediately bc she is absolutely mesmerizing! Then I found out her current age & I was even more obsessed with her, bc she is the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen (at any age) and she’s natural. Idk if she’s gotten any surgery done but I cannot tell at all and it would not change my perception of her regardless. I have never ever thought someone could be so incredibly and naturally beautiful. Seriously, I had to watch her other movies immediately bc she is absolutely mesmerizing!

03:05 Bellucci: I would say a bit of both. Because it's obvious that is necessary hard work. But, you will need a lot of luck as well. For example to have your face to be the chosen one, but you will depend on the newspapers choices, only them have that power. Yes, my face was the chosen one, but maybe many other faces could be in my place, cause I truly think to not be the most beautiful one.

03:45 Bellucci: I would say a mix of both. You need to learn how to seize the opportunities. For example I had been in many covers where I needed to be in Milan and new york in the same day. So I would say the will power makes you achieve it, but the opportunities also need to arise.

04:05 Bellucci: Yes! and also Alberto Burri was born there. We have enough notable people. And about what I miss from there.... I don't go there often, as with my job I'm abroad, unfortunely. But I miss mostly my friends, because I don't see them often as I wish. But I still in touch with them, and I know that all my girlfriends are doing the University now.

04:37 Bellucci: Yes! that is a must! you must have a certain height, a certain presence. But the height is quite relative. It can be from 1.74M to 1.80M. But, you may also find models with 1.85M.
4:48 Reporter: We can say the top models career is very short, as they reach 28 or 29 years old they retire. You already made a transition to cinema. How did achieve that? It was another magic?
4:58 Bellucci: I have to say that I have always been lucky. My transition to cinema was a sort of coincidence, cause one time my photo-shoot came out in a french newspapers "Photo", in an edition dedicated to the top models, and I had 6 pages in it. Then Carlo and Enrico Vanzina saw me there. They then mentioned me to Dino Risi. They set up a meeting with me. And that was it. It started there.

05:29 Bellucci: No, there is no school. Regarding the top models, there are plenty of schools for models, but I think if a girl wants to start a modeling career, the first thing she must do is move to Milan, cause it is the Italian birth place of the fashion design. Apply to a model agency, and there you go, then the agency itself will do it for you and find you opportunities, if you have the right requisites to be a model.
5:58 Reporter: You have said that in an interview that your parents have taught you to fear nothing. How is your relationship with your parents? Do they follow you in your job?
06:10 Bellucci: I must say: No, they don't follow me as our life are very difference. But, I must say a wonderful thing that I have a great relationship with them, and they still young, so I can talk about any subject with them. And that I think is a very important thing. The possibility of talking about certain things, that you can't talk to others, and at the same time have a continuous support from people that you can trust, people that you know will never wrong you.
06:35 Reporter: You have said " I cannot work anymore with my husband cause is like to kill a magic (chemistry)" What you mean by that? Between a photographer what is the chemistry? And if you know each other too well, you cannot have that anymore?
06:49 Bellucci: I think is a sort of a strange and ambiguous game sometimes, a sort of acting. When I work with a photographer I act different roles, that will depend on what I'm wearing. And the photographer in order to take the most out of you, he lies to you, and you pretend to believe on him. And from this little chemistry, a photo is born. that is why I believe a photo is a magic thing.
07:20 reporter: Would say that even a seduction scene, it's all staged by a photographer?
07:23 Bellucci: Yes, on that you must believe.
07:24 Reporter: You mean the girl pretends to be seduced by him?
07:26 Bellucci: Yes, absolutely.

09:23 Bellucci: I don't really know. Many stay inside the fashion world, but you can have many alternatives. Usually cinema is their main choice. And I am trying to pursue it.

09:42 Bellucci: The love life inside the fashion industry is a very difficult thing. Due to the demands of your job, such as traveling, and being too distant from home can be a dangerous thing. There must be a lot balance.
10:03 Reporter: What is an advice would you give to the girls in the audience for pursuing a career as a model?
10:14 Bellucci: I would say that there is not a strict rule, and most of it is based on chances. But above all the most important thing is to be hired by a serious agency that advice the girls.
