This is one of my new favourite colorways. I love coppers and blues together. I love the pairings. You really know how to promote and sell your beautiful yarn with these videos. Well done!
Is also love to see pictures of the different weights knit up, both up close and in a final product. I have a hard time invisioning some of your yarns in a garment and would love to.
Coming back to say, I am finally using this colourway in a project. I decided to pair mine with Easy Breezy Beautiful Cover Squirrel in a Tunisian crochet shawl and they're looking so great together.
That bulky weight, just wow 👌 👏 😍. I have a king size addi, but when I received your beautiful yarn, I had to work it up by hand, it was so soft, and gorgeous.
@arcanefibreworks Omgoodness, I can only imagine that handful of fluffiness, and my brain has turned to mush, 😆 🤣 ☁️🌤☁️. I used to be in quality, and I know when I see, and feel something great, love your process🫶❗️
Здравствуйте 👋!!! Спасибо, за Вашу работу!!! Очень интересно и познавательно!!! Коротко и все понятно, да ещё и варианты подбора по цвету ...изумительно!!! Много, Вам, сил и творческих идей!!!
My state has an annual craft fair for the expert level artists and crafters who are members of the state's "league of craftsmen" There's adjudication process to qualify to join, so you definitely see top notch creations at their annual fair. I got chatting last weekend with a gentleman there who dyes and weaves his own fibers. He mentioned a passion for tonality of color to create visual interest and movement in his pieces. I mentioned AFW and he said he was a fan, follows you on FB and that when he bought the equipment to attempt to mimic your dyeing style he wasn't able to nail it like you do. I'd say that puts you on a level with some of the great artists out there, Tyler.
I am so happy to hear that you'll be doing photos of all of your weights now! I love the uniqueness that happens because of hand dying and looks stunning!!
Absolutely stunning! I found you via Juan, The Yarn Addict 😃 and your beautiful gifted yarns to him are incredible!! I am so surprised that you are just next door to me! Waving from SK 😃
I love this colorway! Would Stormy Seas go with it do you think? I'm binging your channel today and loving it. My only issue is I can't decide on which weight or colors to get lol I came here after watching cinnamon buns channel. That was so sweet of you to send that gift!
I always find the thicker the yarn the more the colour is defined. Have you tried dyeing single ply? My favourite is merino silk singles and that really stands out too
I've been binge watching your videos and reels since I stumbled on a reel on fb because they are relaxing, inspiring, and it's mesmerizing to see the whole process. I was wondering if you would be willing to share your dye to water ratio? Like how much dye for a pale, medium, or dark shade and how much water you use? I watched some of your older videos that show you mixing up the dyes but it is too far to see what sort of measurements you use. The consistency (or I guess concentration?) that I feel like your dyes have in your videos is how I've been trying to mix my own dyes even before I stumbled on your videos. I have an idea stuck in my head and it wasn't until I saw your videos that I knew how to get my idea from my head to the yarn. But I can't get the dye to water ratio right to even think about putting color on yarn as of now. So if you still plan to do that video of how you mix your dyes or you're willing to share your measurements (rough and for 20 skeins is totally okay, I can do the scaling math on my own time) I'd be forever grateful because this idea in my head is gonna drive me mad if I don't finally get it onto some yarn!
So….. the best advise I can give is you need your play!!! To much dye just means lots of rinsing. Not enough and you get light shades. The only way to figure it out is just stop worrying about it lol. (Total husband response I’m sorry)
I've definitely been playing around with mixing and such. I guess saying too much dye isn't quite what I mean. The dye pots are exhausting and the skeins are clear when rinsed. I guess I meant the color is just way too saturated for what I'm trying to achieve. I'm mixing based on the standard every single class and TH-cam tutorial tells me to which is 1% dye stock solution. And I'm measuring for a pale shade the correct amounts and I'm still ending up at a 1% depth of shade or a medium shade when dry when the amounts I measured should come out as pale or even pastel versions. That's why I was kind of hoping you might share a rough guideline of something like 1-2 teaspoons of dye total for a medium shade in 2 L water for 20 skeins or something of that sort. Something rough like that to act as a sort of guide/starting point to tweak from there (and scale down to my smaller batches which is the easier part haha). Anyway, I appreciate you taking time to answer even if it wasn't quite what I was hoping for 😂
@@amberroberts1115 OK well if we’re talking teaspoons, I would say for a highly saturated color way you would be looking at one to one and a half teaspoons for 64 ounces of fluid If you’re looking to do a pastel, you shouldn’t really be putting much more than aquarter teaspoon into 64 ounces of fluid Here’s the thing I don’t do dye stock. I don’t care what the manufacturer says and I don’t care what anybody else in the industry says…. There is far too much math involved, and I do this by feel. The fact that matter is less stress more fun. Just play with the colors.
@@arcanefibreworks thank you so, so, so much! This is exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for! And I agree. The math takes so much fun out of it all and every single TH-cam video or tutorial or classes all do all that math. So thank you for sharing a much less math-y guide to go off of! I really do appreciate you taking the time to answer and I can't wait for my prochem dyes to get here so I have more colors to play with besides the primaries from the starter kit I got. I can't wait to try to get that colorway idea stuck in my head onto the actual yarn! Thank you again and I look forward to watching you dye more! Especially the heavy green colorways because your green and woods-y ones are my favorites!
I have binge watched, and even re-binge watch, so many of your videos. I love to see what you come up with inspired from a photo. If you do another Q&A video, could you talk about where you find your inspiration photos, how do you know it would be good for a colorway, and how do you know which colors to pull out of a photo? Thanks
I've been wondering, and if you see this, Tyler, and have a chance to reply I would be super grateful! Where do you get "mouse grey" -- do you mix your own shades of grey? 🤔🩶
Mouse grey to me is a very light grey. Basically take a black and make it a pastel. Yes! We rarely use stock dye colours. Everything is mixed with something else.
@@arcanefibreworks thank you SO MUCH for your reply! Total newbie here, and I'm really enjoying the experimentation process of mixing colors, although sometimes it can be intimidating 😳 😅

Interesting take on different yarn weight absorption of dye. Very pretty mix of color!
Absolutely Georgious 😮❤
Love the pictures of all weights! Another wonderful video-happy birthday week to me🎉! Yay! lol music, too. ☺️🫶🏻🧶🐓

I just finished a DK weight hat in Ballad of Chicken Little! Really cool to see how it's made.
Love chicken little. Love your videos thank you🤗

This was so much fun to watch❤❤❤❤
All the weights’ colors looked beautiful, but I do think the worsted colors look best. I’m sure it’s different each dye lot
Another masterpiece!
