Thanks for this video man! I'm so psyched that I subbed to your channel recently; so much amazing BFS tips and info.
@@synaptik111 thanks for watching em man 🙌🏽. Glad to have you in the community 👊🏽
Yo Clinton. I really dig your content. For finesse crankbaits my favorite is the 1/4 oz berkley money badger. Mostly because they're relatively cheap and I lose lures like it's my job.
The one lure that I keep telling people to try is the OSP bent minnow. Those are definitely my #1 most productive bfs lures. It's kind of a jerk bait and kind of a top water but definitely 100% worth check out.
I will definitely check both of those out man! Thanks for the input and watching 🤙🏽. I almost got a frittside junior at academy today.
Great informative video. Nice collection of crank baits. Good luck out there and keep the great videos coming as you can.
Thanks for the support Jeff. Are you iced over in Illinois?
@@clintonbruning yes but temps are up this week so hopefully will melt off by the weekend
@@jeffhayungs5254 I hope it melts off quick for you 🙌🏽
Appreciate the info 🔥🤘🏾
Thanks for watching man 🙌🏽
Great selection of baits. I also like the little Lucky Craft. Lurenet is putting out the old Bomber 4A in square bill its 1in and 5/8, 1/4 once very shallow running. They also have the 5A medium running with the regular model A lip. It's 1in and 3/3 runs around 3 to 5ft. The best part about these are you can get them for less than $5.
The lucky crafts are good but expensive, funny you should mention, I just bought some ultralight squarebills and medium divers from academy. They are 1/4 oz and were only 3.50 a pop. I’m excited to see if their action is good or not. They were H2O brand. Small is definitely “in” right now. I bet we will see a lot of the big name companies making small profile hardbaits this year.
Yes I agree. Also I forgot to mention the Yo-zuri rattl'n vibe mini. It's a super small vibrating lure. It's 1and5/8 , and 3 16th once. It's known for ice fishing but it's a killer mini trap bait. Catches everything. I'm sure you're giant white bass will love them. And as far as the CHIEF'S go Survive and Advance. We're Rolling now !
@@rogerbrand223 Baltimore might be in trouble! I’ll look at those yo zuris!
Awesome video! You have got to try the OSP Tiny Blitz! Have caught hundreds of bass this last year and some monster crappie on it.
Someone else mentioned an OSP bait too, I will have to check them out for sure! Thanks for watching man!
Dood! Thanks for sharing your information! Hey, do you fish the hooks most of your cranks come with, or are you switching out the hooks? Also, do you find that your hooks interlock with each other or tangle each other on those smaller 1.5 inch baits? Again, man thanks for the info and keep it up! 🤜🤛
The only bait ive had issues with them tangling every now and then on casting is the z crank, other wise the other baits never foul. I fish all my cranks with the stock trebles. The rápalas break every now and then and I’ll swap them but other than that it’s all stock. Thanks for watching man.
Loving 6# fluoro on these finesse cranks. Small enough diameter to get to depth, castability, and still abrasive enough to not break off if snagged. (then whip out the lure knocker 😂)
Yes sir! I have had someone use the lure knocker for me with the light line a few times and the 6 stands up well. Thanks for watching Johnny.
I’m not a good fisherman Clinton. You are way better. But If I had to give some advice. One thing that never fails me is a rebel crawfish, any red or brown pattern in March. It’s gotta be March though.
oh yeah those little rebel baits are classic fish catchers! I used to kill pond fish in Kansas with them growing up! and they are pretty cheap too which is another plus. Thanks for watching man.
Enjoy your channel and glad I found it a while back. It has got me into BFS. What line brand are you using in 6 pound test? I am guessing flouro? You should try the Frittside Jr. Best flat side ever and casts well. It’s a fish catcher. Believe 1/4 ounce.
I saw those frittside juniors at academy today. I might get one before the winters up. I throw mostly seguar red label 6 lb fluoro. It hasn’t let me down too many times and it’s not stupid expensive for a 1000 yard spool that lasts me a year. Thanks for watching man
@@clintonbruning thanks for the info. I caught a hundreds of bass of that bait this year in ghost morning dawn color.
@@Mags120fish1 I saw that color. You might have me going back for one on Friday 😂
You are missing out on the lucky craft 0.5 and 0.5dd
That’s one of the reasons I’m going to make these vids every now and then. I’m always down to try new baits. I’ve seen those lucky crafts and I’m sure they are top tier. Where do you get yours?
you ever mess with braid to leaders on bfs ?
I have done that with little jigs and bottom baits, but I keep all my moving baits on straight fluoro
I think you forgot to mention that you went swimming for for a couple of them 😂
The Megabass griffon, and a 25MD when it was the last one I had 😂
@@clintonbruning now I know what crankbaits you like .I'm going to hookyou up with some baits that I had promised you
