Nice job, for those who cannot sew, you can buy premade covers for this and other vehicles online, pretty cheap too. So all that would be required would be the steps of padding and installing the cover.
As with the door panel that you did, in my opinion the wrinkling of the material/foam is caused by sweat and body oil reacting with the material. No way to fix these other than recovering or replacing the whole armrest.
