I was looking for something similar to "Tank" by The Seatbelt, and looks like I found it. Will definitely be checking out more of SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS music... AMAZING!
Little fun fact: The creator of Cowboy Bebop made a show called Michiko to Hatchin (which I highly recommend watching) and the theme song is from this band here
He worked on the show though I think as the music producer funnily enough and I think he storyboarded a couple of episodes but I might be wrong there, and she worked under him for Samurai Champloo or one of the other shows don't remember off the top of my head.
Hola from Puerto Rico. Love this song so much. This always reminds me of Cowboy Bebop. Eternaly in love with this music. Wish they'd tour to Puerto Rico.
These japanese musicians are probably some of the best worldwide. A people from which we only know the instrument Shamisen accompany western music influences... and do even better.
I swear, what does that sitting man do? His aura of coolness is infectious, but I've never seen him play an instrument. Either way, I hope he stays. Soil & Pimp Sessions wouldn't be the same without him.
@countbulb You have a point mate lol Shacho sits while the band plays it's like telling the audience "Come, chillax. Listen to the Jazz Band that plays" You know? lol It's what makes the band ace! XD
He helps compose the music but if you checked out their website, hes the ``agitator`` so the live shows are all about him. He will make you dance like you never danced before
@jan1080 It is funny, though, cause I have seen him in other videos, and he has played the role more thoroughly, and you see him agitate, lol... but in this one, he just kinda treats the situation like “Uh, yeah...you guys know what to do.”
These guys are Japanese? They just maxed out my funk-o-meter! As much as I hate perpetuating stereotypes, it's like seeing Arnold Schwartzenegger and Kobe Bryant suddenly whip out wolf hair brushes, break out in coordinated wushu and fill a wall with impeccably written caligraphic Tang poems
@nickgain Hey nick, thanks for the recommendations to those guys. Really think its cool when users, instead of saying, "that sucks" or some shit, don't bother to state something better. gives me something listen to later
A lesson that streches back far into history; when japan finds something new to do, they do NOT half ass it.
Yeah like World War II
idk it sound a lot like flowers for a lady by Mingus
@@salj.5459 years late but you're not wrong. There's a reason they don't talk about Nanking
OH MY GOD GINO LOOK A RECTANGLE
and the agitator is just sittin right there and be like.. "damn, im getting paid for this, baby"
on the chorus his mind goes to crazy places of his past.
agitator is the best. so fucking cool.
The true definition of cutting edge jazz at its very best!!!
Love love love this band.

He worked on the show though I think as the music producer funnily enough and I think he storyboarded a couple of episodes but I might be wrong there, and she worked under him for Samurai Champloo or one of the other shows don't remember off the top of my head.

Heard and seen them live. Awesome and unique !!!!
I like the use and interpretation of The Rite of Spring
holy cow that really is the opening melody of the Rite of Spring
Stravinsky is the shit bros
It's interesting how Shacho does pretty much nothing but the band just wouldn't be as awesome without him =]
Anyhow, great band. Love their music :D
Their physicality, especially of the horn guys, reminds me of Fishbone from "back in the day." So much fun to watch.
Soil & Pimp Sessions, and Big bad Voodoo Daddy. All the Jazz I'll ever need
Chill Shacho is chill...
has anybody else noticed that the head at 0:16 is the opening motif from Stravinsky's Rite of Spring?

I swear, what does that sitting man do? His aura of coolness is infectious, but I've never seen him play an instrument. Either way, I hope he stays. Soil & Pimp Sessions wouldn't be the same without him.
Rejoice oh world, the new jazz leaders have arrived!!!
Sounds like the "truth" to me.
*OH MY GOD GINO IT'S A RECTANGLE*

Got their own Dr. John on the other side of Earth.
Ugh, those first few seconds always send chills down my spine. Sounds like a really big bug...
this is meaanieee bad-ass-jazz man!
I like to think of this as "elephant jazz" so good!
such badasses all of them
Pay close attention to the bottle on top of the piano moving as he destroys the keys.
That is a precarious spot for a beer bottle isn't it (at 2:34)?

@DannyFrTheVlog Best comment of all times! Of all times!!!
Fucking Amazing!!!! Thank you Japan!!!

RELEASE THE MAGMA
I ate the magma
WOW...JUST WOW
These guys are Japanese? They just maxed out my funk-o-meter! As much as I hate perpetuating stereotypes, it's like seeing Arnold Schwartzenegger and Kobe Bryant suddenly whip out wolf hair brushes, break out in coordinated wushu and fill a wall with impeccably written caligraphic Tang poems
they define their own genre as "death jazz" aha
Fucking incredible!
still awesome!
I love how Tabu just downs that corona in the middle.
where can I buy their music?
good idea... rock zurich!!!
@ssjfighter2000 I think that's the agitator. No need to agitate in a music video :P
Getting a real Harajuku vibe from this video clip.
@nickgain Hey nick, thanks for the recommendations to those guys. Really think its cool when users, instead of saying, "that sucks" or some shit, don't bother to state something better. gives me something listen to later
what does the Pimp guy actually do?
