Etat Libre D'Orange You Or Someone Like You Review
Etat Libre D'Orange You Or Someone Like You is Eau De Parfum and was launched in 2017 a few months ago. The perfumer for Etat Libre D'Orange is Caroline Sabas. The notes for You Or Someone Like You are not published but the notes we pick up are mint, garden rose and wild grasses. You Or Someone Like You is quite fresh and perfect for someone looking for a very refreshing fragrance with mint as the dominant note. You Or Someone Like You is a collaboration with Etat Libre D'Orange and Chandler Burr who wrote a book called You Or Someone Like You which is the inspiration for the scent. You Or Someone Like You is not the scent of Los Angeles as the novel takes place in Los Angeles but the scent is what an LA woman would wear. But I find You Or Someone Like You very unisex so I would say You Or Someone Like you is the scent that an LA Woman or an LA Man would wear.

I have heard so much about the brand but have never tried anything. I would love to put my nose on this to experience the joy you get tell us about its freshness. I live in new york and my fresh fragrance is chanel eau extreme
How interesting what your take on this fragrance was. I got a sample of it and now want a full bottle only because I love ELDO and I need to try this sucker again. On me, it was lemon/lemongrass then a bit of BO, armpit sweat, skin then a not-there musk. I did not get rose or any of the other fresh notes that your nose detected. As for my fresh scents, I turn to citrus in the summer. I love Guerlain Pamplelune and Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien or Eau de Sud. Right now, I am wearing vintage Woods of Windsor Forget Me Not that I wore in 1982 and loving it. It is the scent of spring for me. I am in Ohio. Thank you!
Great review! I'm typically not a "fresh scent" type of person though minty fragrances such as this really stand out to me! My go to spring scent over the last year has been Ultra Zest by Thierry Mugler since it has darker notes. Really looking to explore more fragrances such as this though! - New York
This sounds like something I would enjoy wearing while golfing. some may not consider it a freshy because it is somewhat heavy, but my fresh scent is currently Lacoste white. Its my gym and golf scent and reminds me of good dryer sheets which is why I consider it fresh. I'm in New Hampshire and would love to give this a try.
Wow, mint is one of my favorite scents but difficult for me to find done well. Mint and rose sounds awesome. I'm moving to LA next week, so would love to have this for summer. I'm craving anything fresh! I'm in SC right now, but will be in CA :)

I'm in Houston, Tx...where it's hot and humid from late Spring all the way thru to early fall. I'm just now starting to explore niche fragrances, so my collection of "freshies" in that area are a little lacking. From the way you describe this particular scent...it sounds as if this would be perfect for me in this climate. As of now, I've been really enjoying a couple offerings from Atelier...those being "Orange Sanguine" and "Cedrat Enivrant. Citrusy...yes...but also very clean to my nose. I am currently wearing Chanel No. 5 L'Eau and really like it for the heat here in Sacramento area. But I love the original just loving the new L'Eau for the heat. My other favorite fresh fragrance is Atelier Cologne Grand Neroli. California here.

My friend is also intrigued by and recommends the Perfumer Etat Libre d'Orange, and the unusual line that it is. So I just put You or Someone Like You on this evening, but am very happy to get acquainted with Smelling Great Frangrance Reviews. I have subscribed! I live in the Los Angeles area, and find your comments on this scent being appropriate for, and in a literary sense, indigenous to, LA very interesting. Recently got a sample of this and it does smell like dental clinic many people said it does.
I have a luckyscent sample but have only tried it once so far. Will most def be my after work scent this evening after seeing your review. I remember it being fresh but floral, leaning slightly on the feminine side imo. From what I remember. I'll refresh my memory this evening! ... My freshest fragrance ( don't be upset ) is STILL Acqua Di Gio. Out of my niche and designer frags. California.

Hi Sebastian. I really like fresh scents the most. My top 3 freshest and favorite fragrances are Cedre Atlas by Atelier, Mugler cologne, and Philtre Ceylan by Atelier. I love fresh scents and I think I would love having this new scent as a choice to wear for the day :)

I love the opening but it becomes a soapy rose in the drydown on my skin! I prefer Menthe Fraiche!
I have recently discovered I really like mint in a fragrance, so I'm curious to smell this one.
My freshest fragrance is probably either Terre d'Hermes Fraiche or Cologne Indelebe from Frederic Malle, a beautiful grassy neroli.

I struggle to find "fresh" fragrances that I like. Currently I'd say my freshest scent is Atelier Cologne's Vanille Insensee. I'm in Tennessee.
Arizona here. I'd love to win this because it's so hot here in the desert and I think the mint would be a great way to cool off. It's hard to choose my favorite freshie because I find most of this genre to be pretty boring, but I have a decant of Atalier Bergamot Soleil that does bring a smile to my face when I smell it. I'm always looking for the perfect freshie, as a respite from the heat of summer. "Carthusia lo Capri" is one I've worn in past summers, and it does have a bit of mint in it. No toothpaste accord though! I also enjoy wearing "The Different Company Bergamote." I am familiar with ELDO, "Like This" being one of my favorites from the house.
