Thanks for this, tryna learn some more smiths songs in memory of Andy Rourke 🙏🏻 I really couldn’t figure out the tuning until I read the comments and it said A432, now I’ve finally got it 😂
Also, capo on 2nd fret does work but only if the standard EADG tuning is at A432 not A440, hope that’s helpful for anyone who doesn’t wanna tear their fingers apart with super tight strings (I don’t use a pick) 😂
Great tab. I just started trying to transcribe this one myself, but you've pretty much nailed it. I like that you captured the ringed notes that Rourke seems to do.
chat just put capo on 2 on standard tuning and mute the audio on this video and play the audio on the standard tuning verison of the song (available on youtube)
I listened to the bass track of the song and transcribed based on what I heard and the way Andy Rourke played live, so the tabs are the closest I could get to the way the song was played in the studio. That said, I cannot promise that there aren't some little mistakes here and there.
@@blauwefrisson on your phone i found an app that lets you put custom tunings and save them so you dont have to tune to it again, its called "Fender Tune"
There are tuners online in which you can change the frecuency, you should tune it to A4 = 432 for this song. Like gutlax said you can use Fender Tune or Soundcorset, those are the ones I use.
You are my hero for uploading this ,thank you so much ,such a massive help 🙏🏻🥷
At last, somebody showing tabs in f#! More Smiths please 👍
This is he best cover of the song on TH-cam, good job!
You’ve made this song a lot easier to play on bass, thank you!! ✌️😉

Yeah, I should've put that in the video, but thankfully someone pointed it out.
You absolutely nailed it, great playing!
Rip To Andy Rourke who died on May 19th 2023.

Thanks, the isolated track helped a lot with the ringed notes, otherwise it would have been really hard to transcribe. Glad you liked it
tanto tiempo buscando las tabs y que estuvieran bn y apareciste tu new sub
RIP Andy Rourke

excellent!!
Great cover, thanks. Something weird at the begining when the chorus jump in while playing the verse?
i really do wonder how they came up with this tuning. great tab thanks
i'm pretty sure it was just a mistake lol. he probably was just out of tune and no one noticed on the day of the recording
pretty fire sound tho
@@jojofemto yea you are prob right lol. idk who would intentionally tune this way
@@baseballfan4877Probably Jhonny Marr's idea, the guitar has also a similar tuning. It was hard to catch on.
Muy buen cover memo *tose* grenkak lolamento, me encanta the smiths : )
Gracias Lupito soy fan de tu contenido, especialmente "el mal vegano", gran filme
better live with tabs of this song
Question I am learning how to play this and wanted to know if it is easier with a pick then using fingers
I think it depends on your skill with each form of playing, but some of the ringing notes are better done with a pick
This is the original tab or a recreation of you?

Absolutely bang on
you can put a capo on the 3rd fret instead of tuning
ohh thats cool too, but do you happen to know how to tune 3/4 step up? i tried googling but didnt find much :0

@@blauwefrissonfind a tuner that tells you how many cents away from the note you are. 200 cents is a whole step so 150 cents would be 3/4 step
