  • My name is Kendal Johnson, I’m a married 26 year old dad/farmer. I farm with my grandpa (papaw), dad, siblings, uncles, and several cousins. Our operation is called Stahl Farms, a family farm in Southwest Ohio. We farm corn and soybeans with lots of red equipment. My goal is to show a little bit of everything. The good, bad, the fun and the boring days.

66 series, one of my favorites... We had a 1466 and a 966... then a 1086 and a 1586,,, the 1086 was awesome but the 1586 was a lemon, kept breaking left axle housings, after the third time we actually got IH to eat it, ended up with a CASE 2590. Showing my age, LOL, that was way back... 2590 got traded for a 7140, Im gone but it's still in use... At 5000 hrs ~ the 7140 had a couple oil leaks, needed injectors, dealer put on the dyno, 240hp, think they were advertised at 195...

I've got all those 66 series tractors and you are right they are so easy to work on done many of job's like that over the years, now that you have the tractor apart you should restore the whole tractor, awesome video 👍👍

You know I never ran a 66 series but the splitting process is the same as a 796 and you don’t have to take the fuel tank off to actually split the tractor love the old tractors keep making videos god bless you

You have to pull enough bolts off the fuel tank that it just make sense to get it out of the way

Several bolts have to come off the tank though. So at that point it’s not much time to just get it out of the way.
