Well done John for exploring your Greek roots. As a Greek Historian, I can say that the judicial system hasn’t changed much and your great grand mother was a strong woman to sell her farm and deal with this tragedy during that period.

John, keep going with your family journey, You are very Honorable. I met Your Lovely Mother at Pachanga when You and The Beach Boys played there together. I told her how proud I was of you and you continued kindness towards others. I took have family from Greece, and my DNA studies have shown me that my Ancestors come from all over the world. God bless you and your family.

As an interesting off the record side note, may I add that there was a historian named John Koliopoulos who worked with a Historian who is still around and who is considered by many as a Judas for tampering with Greek History so to make Greeks look bad or not feel proud, obviously there are foreign interests in this and it’s not uncommon. I wouldn’t be surprised if Koliopoulos was related, despite it being a common surname, he was also a John Koliopoulos

My Greek great-grandfathers siblings were all killed by the Turks (genocide) then my grandfather was shot and left for dead by Germans in WW2

Pretty much sums up every greek family's history. The country and its people have gone through A LOT. Do you know Greece suffered the biggest financial destruction after WWII, even worse than defeated Germany? And yet, had to come back with no war reparations and somehow other countries are shocked it didn't thrive like northern European countries 🤡

John, we had family members killed in a land dispute in Greece around that time. My great grandfather, Yeorgios was killed by the German Paratroopers in the Pelaponese Mountains. The city of widows. Greeks are strong people.

People were separated in Venizelos vs King Constantine supporters and killed each other for politics. So politics is something you should keep in mind, till 1974 when we end up with kings.

I've never understood that logic oh I didn't have any love or affection from a male father figure and understand that yet rather than making sure your own offspring don't experience the same pain that's the so called justified reason why you don't show your own kids love? TF?
