I started on Mercari about a week or so ago and made my first sale today! 🎉 I love that it’s so much easier and faster to post then eBay and I love the app and their site - so clean! I hope sales gets better. I just choose their suggested prices or lower and it’s Q4 but not selling! 😢

Would it be best to buy a weight scale so we can weight items, etc when selling on this platform or can we do without it since there's cost in that? But we do want the buyer to pay for shipping, etc.
I don’t think I would sell with out a weight scale because if you go over the weight you put when the buyer purchased you will get a fee. I once sold an item for $20 and went over the weight I had originally put. The item still got delivered to the buyer but at the time of me getting payed I instead of getting $16 I only got $10 because they charged me for going over the weight limit I had put. I prefer knowing the exact weight. Hope this helped !
@@orobriela What about if you do not have a box for the item at the moment since I have an item it weights at less than 2 lbs but if you round off it would be 2 pounds then since we do not have a box to fit right now....example Padfolio, Large, 9 1/2" x 12 1/4"

I use my primary email, but I wish I would have chosen a different one, because I get quite a few emails from macari and they could get lost in the mix. So I suggest making a totally separate email
What they said 👆🏽 is correct 👍🏽. You can use your primary email but those emails do get annoying. You have the option to unsubscribe from email notifications or just make a new email.
