    As an experienced B737 pilot I thought your demonstration was realistic. I would suggest to newcomers or less experience pilots to pause the sim. Make the changes which would normally be done by the (Pilot not flying) and then release the pause. This will help to make the flight more like a real simulation. No one can fly raw data perfectly without help from the other pilot.

      I think an experienced pilot can single handedly fly raw data alone. It’s not rocket science. Give the guy a hand clap

    Thank you for showing what RAW data looks like in the 737!

    The PAD DME is rather important unlike what you state. Be careful with the DME setup for the missed approach. The PAD DME is used for the missed approach turn, but if unserviceable can be substituted by the DME element of the IPLEasterly not the IPLWesterly which is tuned for the approach part only. Nice attempt but a check ride fail.

    19:32 you have tuned IPLW and MISS approach has DME for IPLE or PAD

    Dear Manuel thank you for your video. Could you possibly make tutorial how to intercept radial from NDB/VOR or make ME arc using MCDU on Fenix A320!?

    Great video! Yesterday I flew the LOC Y approach into BGSF RWY 9. I messed up my FMC outbound leg from the NDB and wanted to continue by raw data. However, the outbound leg doesn’t give a distance, only extend the holding leg by 2.5 minutes. But 3 minutes at 250 kts (max allowed hold speed) will give quite a difference from let’s say 160 kts approach speed. How would you fly this outbound leg? At approach speed (eliminate the need to slow down on the inbound leg, and reduce distance for terrain clearance), 250kts as max speed giving most distance, or 17nm as that is the distance specified in the inbound leg?

    What yoke are you using? I could never make these small inputs with my joystick it’s too sensitive

    Great video! One question, why did the adf needle not show up on your VOR rose? Or do you have to use the analog one?

    • @A330Driver
      @A330Driver  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Kevin,
      it did show up during the later stages of the approach when I've been closer.
      We can thank Navigraph for this behaviour. In real life you'd have gotten it much earlier as well, but Navigraph restricted the reception range of the navaids to the assured range from the AIP. Which is incorrect behaviour. I had written them about this a few times already, but they never changed it.
      So let's say if the ADF is guranteed to work ie only within 15NM then in real life you'd get an indication further out as well, which may be a bit inaccurate though (often isn't... but it *may* be), in the sim the needle will only come alive at all at 15NM.

    Please do a single engine go around video. Maybe a v1cut followed by a return for a single engine ILS and a go around from it or an rnav and go around altho i have tried it i think the logic in the SE go around might be slightly skewed, i am not typed on the plane but passing thru acceleration height i assume you bug up to accelerate and clean up the plane, and with no auto throttle FMA left to right should be somthin like (empty field/ lnav or hdg sel/toga) but what i noticed is that when you bug up toga WILL NOT command a lower pitch which i believe it should. It does however in a V1cut scenario, but not in a SE go around it wont do it. U are typed on the plane you know better tho. Cheers
