Hi Micah. When you are done completing the square, the number outside the bracket does not change the turning point. This number changes how steep or flat the graph is. A steeper graph will still turn at the same point. Try drawing two graphs with different numbers in the front to see the difference for yourself. Happy studying.
2x^2-10x-3 goes to 2[(x-2.5)^2 -25/4 -3/2] which goes to 2[(x-2.5)^2 -31/4] which goes to 2(x-2.5)^2 -31/2 Therefore turning point is x = -2.5X-1 = 2.5 and y = -31/2 because after we expand the brackets we multiply -31/2 by 2 to get -31/2 TURNING POINT = (2.5,-31/2) This video is 100% correct, but it's just a similar method.
It's some hours before test and man, I find it really helpful. Thanks alot🙏🙏
Thank you, I didn't know what to do when there was a number outside the brackets so this really helped :)
Why did my math teacher not just show me this video instead of showing me her method...this was so helpful Thanks a lot man this really helped me!!
Hey this really cleared this up for me, Thank you.
YOU MADE SIMPLE AND CLEAR BRO.
Please do more videos regarding video to get new ideas
And to use other methods
Thank you so much i finally figured it out!
Hey man this really helped thank you!
This guy is so from South Africa
Why does the 2 outside the brackets in the last question not affect the coordinates of the turning point? Thank you!

But u did help me out.. thank youu🙏🏻🤗
Thank you it helped me so much
do you always divide middle number by 2?
it's been a year, I have the same question, do you always divide the middle number by 2?
@@hemshsugma710 divide the number next to x by 2 and square it.
Thankyou very much 🙂
THANK YOU SO MUCH 😩❤️
thanks alot
Thanks for sharing! I posted a video on completing the square using remainder theorem. Let me know what you think.
thank you
Jaslyn529 I disagree
@@Jack-do5tq with what?
😂
Aasiyah pineapple# they deleted it 😂😂
this is completely wrong?
no its completely correct

Thank you:)
thanks
Isn’t it minus p and positive q for the coordinates of the Turning point
Can you show how to do it for 3x^2+4x-15=y? I am just not getting it!!!! 😭
yo you still stuck on this question?
Dude ur complex examples ans is wrong.. u took 25/4 first nd then in the next line u took 25/2 for sm reason.. so the correct ans is (2.5;-9.25)
your video does not make sense
elaborate
Thank you
