this was wen eastenders was at its absolute best! real raw and worth watching!
Everything it certainly is not now.
It really epitomizes what like was like in Britian in the 1980's when unemployment was high 😢, not even the Blue collar families lived like that on US Soaps. Albert Square makes 5th Street on Guiding Light look like Sesame Street.

They don't look 'alike', but Nick was well cast to play Dot's son. Similar face shape and complexion.
7:22, “Now what we want is you out of this territory for good” Not knowing that he would spend the next 29 years coming in and out of the square, terrorrising Dot in the process as well as causing all sorts of grief.

Nick was a dodgy character, but after seeing a few of these clips I've concluded that the others were all cliquey and hypocritical, doing whatever they wanted while having a pop at Nick everytime he did the same because he wasn't in with them. They even say in the clip where they beat him up that one or two of them won't like the police knowing their business.

considering that den watts is the landlord of the queen victoria pub, husband to angie, and dad to sharon watts, what exactly is his background supposed to be like, and because he seems to be a bit of a hard man, and does things like help out the local gangsters, and even goes to prison for it, do we ever discover just what he got upto during his past.
