Beautiful. I need to find an arrangement on the restoration to play in our zone conference in the philippines. This might just be the thing! Thanks for sharing.
I would recommend finding a piano teacher, learn the basics of playing / reading music first, and slowly work your way through it with the sheet music (you can download the sheet music for free from the link given in my description above). However, some people do have a knack for learning songs by ear on their own. If you can do that, then right on.
I've never played the piano before. I want to learn this arrangement and practice it and play it in a sacrament meeting. Is there any way that I can get something to help me learn this? Also, is there anything people can do to help you in some way?
Can you include an arrangement of the following songs in tribute to the prophet? -Claire -Lyin' Eyes -Son of a Preacher Man -Your Cheatin' Heart -Folsom Prison Blues
+pk26pk26 I''ll give that it's a year old, but that comment is older than youtube, older than the internet and almost as old as the Church itself! New material please. Also, I know that the prophet saw God that spring morning and fulfilled his calling in all righteousness, as good as any mortal man save the Christ. Even if I didn't, it would be stupid for him to have lied about the things claimed considering the Truth brought him so much pain and suffering. And he was never once found guilty of any crime(48 charges) or lawsuit (close to 150) against him.
Mark Karmel You're right.....the truth did bring him pain and suffering. When he ordered underlings to destroy printing presses that told the truth of his immoral activities, the public took care of him good. Just like David Koresh and Jim Jones. In addition to the crimes he committed, he ordered the killing of former Gov. Lilburn Boggs as retaliation.
pk26pk26 He ordered the mobs to have his own property destroyed despite the ? He committed crimes despite being found innocent on all accounts? He was an accessory before the fact of that assassination attempt despite the federal courts findings? Well, if we're just going to make stuff up... Your mother told me Joseph Smith was also a fairy princess' magical flying unicorn. And I found the holy grail in my dishwasher this morning. Source citations go a long way, also recognizing context and reading the whole document before taking an unproven stance. I'm not in the mood to argue. I'd just like it if you'd find something newer than the state of Texas.
Mark Karmel It's called *megalomania*. Joseph Smith had it, just like Jim Jones and David Koresh and Marshall Applewhite had. Lots of Hollywood movie stars have it. Until you've become really famous, you don't know what it's like. Joseph Smith only wanted to make money via small-level scams, but a religious fervor gripping his hometown caused him to change plans. You know for a fact his "visions" of seeing God and Jesus Christ together he didn't mention at all until the late 1830s when it became expedient for him. The Book of Mormon never mentions these things, because he didn't come up with this tall tale until he became big and attracted a following he wouldn't have believed before. And you're just one more person falling for his false tales.
Except for the excessive documentation of his speaking about the First Vision. Look, brother, I don't feel like arguing with anyone anymore. I'm glad there are still conspiracy theorists out in the world. Means it's still a turnin'. Night
i have listened to this so may times. thank you for sharing your talent and testimony.
