The vocal entry in this track just kills. That flawless combo of shimmering finger picking (not in the country sense) guitars and keys at that same vocal moment is the perfect fusion of melody, iconic voice and sonics.
every time I hear this song, I cant help but imagine the gates of heaven opening after death and seeing Jesus in person! It both tears me apart in thankfulness/awe and scares me too!
I love this song, prefer Brendan's return. Every time I hear it I cant help but imagine what heaven will be like, meeting Jesus in person, it's gonna be awesome!!! like the extended solo but way better!!! :)
Was fortunate enough to catch Iona live during the brief bit Nick Beggs was on bass. (Cornerstone '94 I believe?) Great fit adding his Chapman Stick and melodic style to what the band already did -- wish that lineup had lasted longer.
My favorite Christian band. Prog, Celtic, Inspirational, Heavenly.
doode, you nailed it...
Absolutely incredible song
They continue to bless me deeply with their music!
Best band best album best song
Magical. Love this awesome and criminally underrated band.
This always reminds me of my father. He loved this music.
God bless him.
I can’t tell you just how much I miss this band.

Agreed. It is stunningly beautiful.
Yes, it carries Brendan onto great things - God is always bigger
My favorite iona album.

Greatest Xian band ever, hands down.
Great group! Saw them years ago! & went to one of the drummers workshops in London, same years ago!
They earned not 1% of the knowledge and attention they'd deserved.
Can't wait to hear Celestial Fire perform these pieces soon.
Goosebumps.
