Great stuff Rusty. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with this project. Need to get back to my AWI stuff soon and this could provide some timely inspiration.
@@Helcarexe26 Any game plans? Black Powder (as I know you did get the free rules), Sharp Practice, Musket & Tomahawks,... or just building them and figuring out a game later?
@@ostrowulf I've been talking with Dan Buman and looking at Land of the Free rules system. But its open for what ever we decide to use for the miniatures.
@@ostrowulf I've not looked at many of their models. I've got some ancients models from Baccus 6mm and really like the look of them. I've heard others speak highly of Pendraken though.
That's a lot of troops for a heck of a price Rusty! Looking forward to seeing your progress. I started gluing another regiment together tonight, so hopefully we can inspire each other to make progress :)
That's why I jumped on the miniatures, can't beat the price I paid. So I should be able to assemble the British forces first Thanks to your helpful support. With your Colonial forces already painted up for the most part, I should be working on the British to give you something to shoot at......
@@Helcarexe26 Glad to help out! It would be cool to get together for a game when you get them painted up. After I finish this last regiment I am working on for my Continentals, I will post a video of my force so you can see what you are up against :)
I haven’t completely settled on rules for mine yet, so will be interested to hear what you make of them. I’m aiming to play Sharp Practice initially, but I’ll be looking for a big battle set as the army builds in size.
@@Helcarexe26 Purchased Warlord’s Revolutionary. The civil war should have been my thing but I just don’t dig them all marching pose. I Guess I need to get my imagination going better.

It's a very large project for the summer and fall season, I'm excited to dig into the project.
That's one heck of a kit Rusty, nice looking Army!...Bill
Thanks Bill, that should keep me busy for a long time.
Nice kit rusty thanks for sharing
It's a a bit different from a car kit, I'm looking forward to building these miniatures
He was eyeing it up for a while, and he broke down and got it. I am looking forward to seeing these when they are done.
It's going to take me awhile to assemble and paint everything in those boxes. So it a longterm project for me to work on and enjoy painting

Interesting topic buddy.Look forwards to these one bing painted up 🍻👍
It's getting closer to the assemble time
If I ever got into this period I would probably go with 6mm (maybe 15mm).
I look forward to seeing you paint all that up.
I played it in the 15mm scale for years and still have some laying around here somewhere. It easier to make a force in the small scales than the 28mm
Hero, have you checked out Pendraken? I keep eyeing them longingly for Seven Years War, that much more so as World War Zero is coming out.
@@Helcarexe26 Agreed. I think the smaller scale also makes it easier to portray the large regiments that would have taken part in the battles.
@@ostrowulf I haven't looked at their line in awhile, once I'm finished with these there's always room for more....

That will be a really nice force for both sides for blackpowder era games. Get your glue ready! There goes the summer break 😂
It will look awesome once everything is painted on the tabletop, I think it's time for a glue run for this project.....
Good stuff mate
Thanks Nick
too bad warlord took over wargames factory... they were much cheaper from the original manufacturer. Great unboxing :)
I wanted to get more from Wargames Factory 🏭 back in the day. I was lucky enough to get most of my miniatures pretty cheap
By the way, I meant to ask what rules you’re planning to use for these?
I picked up The Osprey Land of the Free rules that Dan Buman was using for his forces

@@maryhinge6334 I have to pickup Sharp Practice sometime and look at it for a skirmish system.
You won’t regret it. I’ve had a couple of games of SP with my ACW stuff recently and it plays really well. Enjoy anyway.
@@maryhinge6334 The biggest problem is finding someone who would play the system and the then order the rules from across the pond
Noob here. What’s the difference in sizes? I see 28mm and 1:56 in different sets?
The 28mm and 1:56 are the same scale, then you can toss in the heroic scale of 32mm or 1:52
