I loved the pins, but was afraid of losing them, as you pointed out. I'm actually in the middle of making my own messenger ita bag right now and I plan to have multiple inserts for multiple themes (as opposed to making multiple bags). Funny that you mentioned Stamistudios. I backed their Kickstarter and have the Catbus and Jiji bags! :-D I plan to unbox them on my channel within the next month! I once saw a perfect one on Etsy, it was a unisex style, it doubled as both a back pack and a tote and it had a reasonable size. But I can't find it anymore (I swear that I favorited it..) Guess I'll have to keep looking. It was really cool to hear about the origins of the ita style!

I made a double sided ita bag for myself, one side with a squid shape full of Splatoon merch and fan art, and the other side is Pokemon. I'm making a penguin window backpack as a commission right now. I want to try making an ita fanny pack for wearing in suit. Meanwhile, whenever I do make a smaller bag, I plan on filling it with platypus stuff because my fursona is a platypus. I'm trying to learn how to advertise them, but I love making them and custom window shapes have been a big selling point for those of us who do take commissions.

I had a blank canvas one forever with my massive bulbasaur pin collection in it and it was handmade from a girl in hong kong but after a few years of conventioning the straps broke beyond repair (i'd repaired it like 4-5 times) and it had fairy lights and alll kinds of stuff going no and i got stopped a TON for it at cons

Not to mention that the way the virus pandemic is going around in Melbourne got me very concerned and I’m glad you are doing very well. But I must admit that the way the Japanese people decorate their things is absolutely amazing. Especially with their car culture all modified to a curtain theme and anime are the common theme especially when customising in the JDM scene or with the ita bags. I think they are cool. Also I’m coming back into my weeb roots as I’m interested in watching furry anime on Netflix. I finished watching all 3 seasons of Aggretsuko.
