It’s seem like this series is going to get a green light if the team have a huge lead of animation being so amassing and the merchandise are a bit in the market to boost the production. 😄 Also fun fact about the VAs in this show, they seem to be recurring voices like Michael Kovach who done Angel dust from Hazbin hotel Pilot, N from Murder Drones and Rocky from Lackadaisy. While Pomni voice is being Charlie’s Voice actress from the Hazbin Hotel Pilot. As well this might be a interesting fact to hear that Zooble’s VA is being Ashley Nicholes who is her first time doing voicing with her partner Michael Kovah. Also she seem to be a very skilled animator in Lackadaisy, Far Fetched and more out there. I highly recommend checking out her Hunicast videos as they are funny and interesting to witness VA at their comedy hours.

I like this shows concept. It feels very rare. The idea reminds me of that one episode from Black mirror called "White Christmas" (Definitely worth the watch if your a fan of John Ham). Its the idea of being trapped in an infinite but also limited digital environment where you have no control. Its scary to think of because of how much unthinkable torture can be possible. Put yourself in a npc's shoes for example. The player is in control and you can never actually die you just respawn. And you just have to be a part of whatever madness you have to deal with over and over again till you snap.. Its also kinda like the truman show because your stuck. And the reason its so tame is because they don't want you to look for an escape. If you've ever fallen off of a map or no clipped outside of bounds, its just an infinite void of nothing. Can you imagine being stuck on one map (in any game you can think of, but only in offline mode) for an eternity as a conscious npc? Thats a certain type of insanity that is rarely explored. At least as far as i know. Anyone know any other examples?
I think Free Guy could be a good example. Blue Shirt Guy is an NPC in a GTA type game who experienced an interaction that triggered consciousness and eventually finds out that his entire world is fake.

Instead of being an npc your a player stuck in an online lobby with no other players just emptiness and it takes a creepy turn. Its like digital claustrophobia. The digital circus has activities but they are meaningless. There is no where to go and no hope. Its almost like a daycare but one of the kids suddenly becomes like self aware and wants to escape, but they just force you to sit and play with your legos. Based off the pilot episode i feel like the show at some point is going to take a wild dark turn is all im saying. But Idk maybe im giving the show too much credit.
If you pay attention, EVERYTHING he does is to help and protect the other characters. Granted on a jerk fashion but, separating the 2 weaker members to do the pointless and safe task, while sending the unknown and a stronger willed character along with himself to check the actual threat, then the MOMENT it's confirmed to be a threat he seeks out the other two and immediately puts them in a bunker away from kofmo. It's only when he sees the glitched parts does he realize kinger and gangle are in danger. The moment it's sorted out he goes first in case there's more threats up top. Seriously, everyone's going on him being a chaos gremlin, but every action he's actively protecting the weaker members, and seeing what Pomni is about.
You two mentioned that this feels tame and i agree, but i believe that The Amazing digital circus is at the level as cartoon Network 2000s level and that is a compliment because we all know that cartoon Network is at is prime in the 2000s and of course Vizypop is pretty much at the level as adult swim or something like that
What makes this whole series so secretly eerie is that we as people are in the phase where in the near future all of this COULD happen. We literally have tons and tons of AI now, and if we get to the point where we can make an AI LIFEFORM of its own, then something like this could very well happen. It’s so crazy to think of, but that’s one of the reasons why I love this series. Honestly an 11/10 show and we’ve only got the pilot so far.
I imagine if Ryan George did a Pitch Meeting on The Digital Circus, he'd inflate Cain's eyes in the thumbnail so much that his teeth couldn't contain them anymore.
Reactors, Memes, comics, fan art *tame and NOT*, millions of creatives spreading the word. Good voice acting cast, word of mouth, trolls trying to hurt it by flooding the comments sections instead causing it and the creative works to indicate high traffic so the TH-cam algorithm suggested it to more and more people (this is a hilarious side part), and this has a wider demographic potential I feel than the usual indie animation (which are squarely adult animation so more parental controls didn't flag this), and we also saw some Yahoo and such side articles talking about it and as parent guides so...a lot of word of mouth and seeing something about it online. Yeah it went crazy viral and that spread it to more people to keep checking it out.
I don't know if you guys read comments, but there is a lot of religious allegories in this pilot, Caine is the ringmaster, and when we saw Pomni going through the doors, the name of the company is C&A which could be Caine and Abel. In addition, the very last scene is a direct reference to the last supper. Also one more thing, look at the scene where those guys are walking through the hallway, you will see doors that have a red X marked through them, those are likely people who abstracted.

I have a theory about this show, nobody's actually 'trapped' in the digital plane, they're all AI that were trained on brain scans of people who put on the headset, the real person probably took off the headset and went away. It's kind of like SOMA with programming robots with a person's brain scan, but with AI in a digital world. It's why there's no exit, because there wasn't really an entrance, just an AI created out of nowhere and it thinks it's the person who put the headset on.
I like that theory. Its exaclty what black mirror did in the episode called "white christmas". They stick a chip into your brain that scans and copies your consciousness and creates a digital version of you to control your home the way you like it. like a smart home hub. But the digital copy thinks its a real person and doesn't want to be forced to work for the real version of themselves. So they have to break them by torturing them to make it feel like years have passed by and they get bored insane and eventually give in.
Honestly, I’m not surprised that the pilot has so many views. It’s incredibly well executed for what it is, and is incredibly well blended. Just starting off, the animation is designed incredibly well, and it honestly is incredible that it is based on early 3-d animation and is so expressive and dynamic. Secondly, the humor is incredibly well done because it is always in character, and it often calls back to previous instances. For example, kinger mentioning insect collections and being startled by the ribbon person (honestly forgot their name). The joke doesn’t make sense at first, but they pay it off later in the episode in the gloinks nest, even cutting kinger off mid scream. All that aside, where the show really shines is in the music and sound design. Outside of the main theme and ending scene having extremely catchy and nice music, the sounds design is incredibly well synced with what’s happening on screen, and really emphasizes the tone of each scene. Honestly, I think that from a surface level, the show looks strange and surreal, which it is, but it is also extremely well made and detailed.

I think a lot of people don't put much thought into the whole idea of the show upfront and just picture it as just a goofy animated show. But there is a subtle twist of horror mixed into the show. Not like in the jump scares kind of sense but in the idea of being stuck in a digital world with no escape. Its a nightmare show. The digital circus is kinda like hell if it was made by man and meant to look innocent like a show for children. And someone is playing god. We don't know yet how and why people are being trapped in it. And we don't know yet what kind of people they are since they lose their memory. But they could be really awful people who deserve it. Kinda like the ending of the "white christmas" episode of black mirror, if you ever watched that.
Anyone else notice that some of the door for their rooms had Xs as if those characters no longer live there or something happened to them? And also the other abstractions in the cellar, as if they get replaced everytime.

The creator Gooseworx has made a few viral animations in the past, but nothing on this scale. The whole team expected maybe 20 million views within a year. They reached 100 million in a month.

Edit: I haven't watched your reaction video yet but i would like to mention that Jax's voice actor (Michael Kovach) also voiced the main character from Lackadaisy, I've heard he was someone from murder drones but i haven't watched that yet and he was Angel Dust from the Hazbin Hotel pilot. I have the theory that the perfomers represent different personality disorders. Anxiety(pomni), fear(kingler), selfishness(jax), anger(kaufmo), etc. What if the headset was a technology that was supposed to help cure ppl of their debilitating personality disorders. Strap it on and instantly feel relief from your crippling issue. BUT what if the tech takes those negative aspects of your mind away and dumps them into the circus? That's why they have no memory. Also, it would lend itself to making the existential horror even worse because even with a route back to the real world, they've nowhere to go. 😱🙂 Interesting things I've spotted. * Before the introduction song Caine mentioned "paraphernalia" that "we" would be seeing. That implies objects/items/things and yet what we end up watching is the trapped performers... * When Caines watch detected a player in the Void, he said "oh no, they'll be *spoiled*". That's a word used for perishable goods/food/products..... * When Jax said "she still thinks it's a dream", he was not talking to Ragatha. He was breaking the forth wall and talking to us.... * The adventures aren't dangerous, but Kaufmo's abstracted form was as Zoobuls fate barely bothered them but Kaufmo's was seen as a real danger. Re- Jax's reaction to the adventure compared to Kaufmo. *Caine isnt all-seeing because he had no idea what was going on to his circus or players, even abstraction, until Pomni entered the void. Then he still didnt know himself, his wacky watch alarm had to alert him. *Caine barely knows anything about the real world.... " *Drown* in the digital Lake,..... *ridery* at the digital fair" hint at that. If that's so how did he know what offices in the real world looks like? Maybe through the cameras in the place where the headset and computer are sitting? That also explains why the exit maze has "A" computer office room but is not "THE" computer office room. I dont think they are the same because Caine's had no windows or natural light but the one we come out of at the end has natural light streaming across the wall. * Other than the final corridor connected to the void the Exit Maze was totally stable, until Pomni's extreme reaction to the computer and headset started causing the lights to flicker on and off.... why then? 🤔 Thoughts on "sad and weak" Gangle. With Gangle's masks. They both look fragile, and the comedy mask did break after a small drop.( in a little extra from Gooseworx, we see Gangle looking in a mirror with broken comedy masks all over the walls.) But when she was dragged into the Gloink hole her sad mask smashed into the ground, hard, but didn't even get a blemish on it. That implies that her "smile" is so very thin yes.... but that her core, and yes sad, self is a lot tougher than she looks. 🤔..😥💪...🤔 Ok that's some of the stuff ive picked up on. Could it be meaningful or could mean nothing 😅

This show is more of a psychological horror
Reactors, Memes, comics, fan art *tame and NOT*, millions of creatives spreading the word. Good voice acting cast, word of mouth, trolls trying to hurt it by flooding the comments sections instead causing it and the creative works to indicate high traffic so the TH-cam algorithm suggested it to more and more people (this is a hilarious side part), and this has a wider demographic potential I feel than the usual indie animation (which are squarely adult animation so more parental controls didn't flag this), and we also saw some Yahoo and such side articles talking about it and as parent guides so...a lot of word of mouth and seeing something about it online. Yeah it went crazy viral and that spread it to more people to keep checking it out.

I don't know if you guys read comments, but there is a lot of religious allegories in this pilot, Caine is the ringmaster, and when we saw Pomni going through the doors, the name of the company is C&A which could be Caine and Abel. In addition, the very last scene is a direct reference to the last supper.
Also one more thing, look at the scene where those guys are walking through the hallway, you will see doors that have a red X marked through them, those are likely people who abstracted.

I have a theory about this show, nobody's actually 'trapped' in the digital plane, they're all AI that were trained on brain scans of people who put on the headset, the real person probably took off the headset and went away. It's kind of like SOMA with programming robots with a person's brain scan, but with AI in a digital world. It's why there's no exit, because there wasn't really an entrance, just an AI created out of nowhere and it thinks it's the person who put the headset on.
I like that theory. Its exaclty what black mirror did in the episode called "white christmas". They stick a chip into your brain that scans and copies your consciousness and creates a digital version of you to control your home the way you like it. like a smart home hub. But the digital copy thinks its a real person and doesn't want to be forced to work for the real version of themselves. So they have to break them by torturing them to make it feel like years have passed by and they get bored insane and eventually give in.
Maybe theyre stuck in the paradise computer (I forgot its name) i love SOMA btw
Honestly, I’m not surprised that the pilot has so many views. It’s incredibly well executed for what it is, and is incredibly well blended.
Just starting off, the animation is designed incredibly well, and it honestly is incredible that it is based on early 3-d animation and is so expressive and dynamic. Secondly, the humor is incredibly well done because it is always in character, and it often calls back to previous instances. For example, kinger mentioning insect collections and being startled by the ribbon person (honestly forgot their name). The joke doesn’t make sense at first, but they pay it off later in the episode in the gloinks nest, even cutting kinger off mid scream.
All that aside, where the show really shines is in the music and sound design. Outside of the main theme and ending scene having extremely catchy and nice music, the sounds design is incredibly well synced with what’s happening on screen, and really emphasizes the tone of each scene.
Honestly, I think that from a surface level, the show looks strange and surreal, which it is, but it is also extremely well made and detailed.

I think a lot of people don't put much thought into the whole idea of the show upfront and just picture it as just a goofy animated show. But there is a subtle twist of horror mixed into the show. Not like in the jump scares kind of sense but in the idea of being stuck in a digital world with no escape. Its a nightmare show. The digital circus is kinda like hell if it was made by man and meant to look innocent like a show for children. And someone is playing god. We don't know yet how and why people are being trapped in it. And we don't know yet what kind of people they are since they lose their memory. But they could be really awful people who deserve it. Kinda like the ending of the "white christmas" episode of black mirror, if you ever watched that.

I have the theory that the perfomers represent different personality disorders. Anxiety(pomni), fear(kingler), selfishness(jax), anger(kaufmo), etc. What if the headset was a technology that was supposed to help cure ppl of their debilitating personality disorders. Strap it on and instantly feel relief from your crippling issue. BUT what if the tech takes those negative aspects of your mind away and dumps them into the circus? That's why they have no memory. Also, it would lend itself to making the existential horror even worse because even with a route back to the real world, they've nowhere to go. 😱🙂
Interesting things I've spotted.
* Before the introduction song Caine mentioned "paraphernalia" that "we" would be seeing. That implies objects/items/things and yet what we end up watching is the trapped performers...
* When Caines watch detected a player in the Void, he said "oh no, they'll be *spoiled*". That's a word used for perishable goods/food/products.....
* When Jax said "she still thinks it's a dream", he was not talking to Ragatha. He was breaking the forth wall and talking to us....
* The adventures aren't dangerous, but Kaufmo's abstracted form was as Zoobuls fate barely bothered them but Kaufmo's was seen as a real danger. Re- Jax's reaction to the adventure compared to Kaufmo.
*Caine isnt all-seeing because he had no idea what was going on to his circus or players, even abstraction, until Pomni entered the void. Then he still didnt know himself, his wacky watch alarm had to alert him.
*Caine barely knows anything about the real world.... " *Drown* in the digital Lake,..... *ridery* at the digital fair" hint at that. If that's so how did he know what offices in the real world looks like? Maybe through the cameras in the place where the headset and computer are sitting? That also explains why the exit maze has "A" computer office room but is not "THE" computer office room. I dont think they are the same because Caine's had no windows or natural light but the one we come out of at the end has natural light streaming across the wall.
* Other than the final corridor connected to the void the Exit Maze was totally stable, until Pomni's extreme reaction to the computer and headset started causing the lights to flicker on and off.... why then? 🤔
Thoughts on "sad and weak" Gangle. With Gangle's masks. They both look fragile, and the comedy mask did break after a small drop.( in a little extra from Gooseworx, we see Gangle looking in a mirror with broken comedy masks all over the walls.) But when she was dragged into the Gloink hole her sad mask smashed into the ground, hard, but didn't even get a blemish on it.
That implies that her "smile" is so very thin yes.... but that her core, and yes sad, self is a lot tougher than she looks. 🤔..😥💪...🤔
