@@fazilhakkim1091 To siriyur we can go by small bus .. no other vehicle allowed .. Ooty to siriyur 3pm (only bus u can take and return in same bus ) and another one at 4.30pm .. also some 2-3bus operate from gudalur to siriyur but I don't know timing

I have travelled this route 3 years back, very beautiful and dangerous road..
01:26 and 04:10 : Wrong info. I went from Ooty to Masinagudi and back in this route in 14 years old tvs scooty pep+. They never restricted any vehicles anywhere.
Yes. It is dangerous. I will never let my vehicle go beyond 30 Kmph. If it reaches that speed, I will completely stop. Then I will leave the brake till it reaches 30 Kmph. Then the cycle continues.
My vehicle didn't cross 10 Kmph when climbing up. The real shit situation.
But I have successfully climbed down and climbed up.
Travel time :
Downwards from Thalaikundhaa till the base : 45 minutes
Upwards from the base till thalaikundhaa : 75 minutes

Buses with Shutter type windows can no longer be registered as per new ARAI rules . So all new buses would be built with sliding window model. After allocation of new buses the issue that you mentioned would be resolved

Bro try Manjur- Karamadai small bus route while in Nilgiris... Manjur-Mulli has 43 hairpin bends,Athikadavu-Velliangadu has 14 hairpin bends so nearly 60 hairpin bends in one journey and route full of elephants...if possible try it
