4:39 I think the best way to do a guide is 1 Explain how to use each card, 2 Explain how to take most advantage of Innate powers of the spirit like you did in this video. 3 Than show the best starting two turns or/and 4. do a demonstration game. (that is how I did my home made one page how to play guides to some of the spirits in good with for others (River, Lightning, Earth,Thunder, Dream.)
I have a lot of interest in more information as you mentioned at the end of the video. I'd love videos on the core minor/major cards, adversaries, or just general tips. Anything to help me improve or better understand the game, I can't find a lot of content like this.
Good one, I also come to realize that is the best start for this spirit, like it's very linear, I have not identified that is true for the other spirits, so far I feel the other ones also have a choice depending on the setup but not Shadows Flicker.
When you bring up Concealing Shadows, you explain that "If the Dahan aren't taking any damage, the [invaders] are going to cause blight". This is incorrect, and a common mistake: *"Dahan provide no intrinsic defense to the land (or themselves) - during Ravage, Invaders deal full damage to both the land and Dahan simultaneously."* querki.net/u/darker/spirit-island-faq/#!Rules-semi-commonly-misplayed
Yes! You're absolutely correct. This is as mistake I made in the early videos. Sometime last year I was corrected on it. Though it is a very important rule, I feel it doesn't change the overall strategy I'm outlining here. Besides, I'm to lazy to remake the video ;) I've debated making more in depth strategy guide videos. If I do, I'll probably make a video highlighting common mistakes like that one.
best guide on Shadows i found on youtube thank you for making this

I think more spirit guide videos would help a lot of players, especially me! I love this game but am so slow learning the different spirits.

Best videos are by a guy named Kalen north. Watch his river surges video and you will never lose with that spirt

Here's my guide for Shadows: Don't play it at high difficulties because it's weak as shit
