- Bad day! Your spaceship is going to explode with just enough time to get into your spacesuit. Next, you and the few suriving crewman are floating away from each other, but you can stay in contact by radio (for a while anyway) THEN you recognize one of the voices to be . . . FLOYD D. BARBER! Oh no . . . You HATE this guy! This Suspense episode stars William Conrad, the fore mentioned Howard McNear & Harry Bartell and was broadcast in 1955. Audio quality is much improved from the only surviving "itchy & scratchy" record.

Back in my "formative years" as a senior in high school my schedule ran like this: 1st class, 10:30 AM. Lunch 11:30. Last class 12:00 noon. (I took all required courses as a freshman, so I could cruise thru the rest of the way, and to concentrate on girls, beer, and football - in that order!)

I was referring to the CHARACTERS in the story! The one guy in the story was very jealous of Floyd! (maybe hate was the wrong word to use) I LOVE Floyd, and he even has his own episode playlist! He shares it with Parley Baer, Mayberry's Mayor!
