I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. The only reaction to Manifesto Sir is it’s a MASTERPIECE…Title Track for me is the greatest to date. The B-Sides are phenomenal. 1st let me say, our sweet handsome talented Jake wrote some of the lyrics and contributed to the composing of SHOUT OUT. He is a credited lyricist and composer, Badass right, yup… Then the whatever we are calling ForeShadow, his voice is impeccable.. Then there is TFW, well I don’t have words. That song gives me feelings of nostalgia. It has an old school vibe. Watch some stages. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of the group the Temptations, that’s the vibes I get. Then there’s ParadoxxxInvasion, gives me old school rock flavor. And of course our intro with the use of 3 languages. I mean come on, the album is a bop, no skips. You just keep replaying and replaying… well at least I do. But go sit and listen to it yourself.. you will see. Enhypen is 4th Gen KPOP.. They are literally 🔥🔥🔥🔥(An album in 3 languages,OMG)

Penguins feel sad, one of those reasons: because Sunghoon always gets "low" rank in dance ranking in TH-cam and other social media.
I'm not a dancer. I write this with my limited knowledge. As far as I know, contemporary dance is very different from modern dance mostly used in KPop. These 2 kinds of dance have different TECHNIQUE. Hoon's speciality is Contemporary dance, not modern dance. He used to do elegant moves during his figure skating era. In the beginning as idol, he had problem for sharp quick moves which are usually done in modern dance. His biggest problem is in his footwork.
Still remember "battle dance unit" in iland survival show? All producers had doubt whether he could do street dance in that battle dance. Then he showed that he could do it. Actually, his footwork at that time was not as good as other 5 participants. Technically, his footwork was considered "not good" for modern dance. If there were rank among those 6 participants, Hoon probably got low rank too.
But, why ilander won?
That's because of Hoon skill in Contemporary dance and .... his ART/BEAUTY elements he had!!!
* He could do acrobatic moves that all ilander participants couldn't do. He showed acrobatic moves which are part of his contemporary dance skill. He even showed higher standard than the producers' expectation.
* Sunghoon had ART & BEAUTY elements in his dance. His face expressions was the best. He smirked, puffed his cheeks, and sang the song amid dancing. He made the group more attractive to see. He brought additional points for Ilander group. That's why ilander could win the battle dance.
The problem about all dance ranks: the reactor or TH-camrs are SPECIALIST in modern dance, not contemporary dance. So they make analysis based on modern dance technique only. Art & beauty? Those are not part of analysis. 😑
In Enhypen, Sunghoon should be #2, even maybe #1. Why?
Because he can do both CONTEMPORARY and MODERN dance.
If someone learns traditional dance/Contemporary genre first, someday he can switch to be in modern genre. However, it takes time to have this switch. Sunghoon is in his process to switch to modern dance and he has made big improvement.
But anyone from modern genre, if he must switch to be in tradisional/contemporary dance, that's more more difficult, even maybe almost IMPOSSIBLE!
Simple example. Only Hoon can do tour (spin) like male ballet dancers usually do. Can other 6 members do the same? No! Even Niki can't do either.
With this simple example, based on ability doing spin/tour for ballet technique, who's the best dancer? Of course, Sunghoon!!!
So, when the dance rank based on modern dance, Hoonie usually gets "low" rank. If based on Contemporary and ballet/classical dance, he can be #2, even maybe #1 in Enhypen.
So, I don't care those rank anymore. I love art & beauty he brings in his dance. I love Hoonie's dance, just the way he is.

I love this solo dance. This is his Legendary dance. There are a lot of cover dance that can be made by any other idols. But this solo dance? I doubt whether all idols can do it.

jake being able to make that footwork shows how talented he is, we need to start realize how good dancer he is.

Jungwon Popping King so true!! And he always slay those moves with shoulders, chest and neck. Istg his isolation is on ANOTHER LEVEL. His moves are so clean, sharp and detailed. The more you focus on his dancing the more you find subtle details he adds and this makes his dance even more awesome.

Heeseung center never disappoints, he makes the whole group look incredible and strong, they've all improved so damn much even though they were great in the beginning as well!

enhypen said they practiced the pass the mic step repeatedly for 5 hours straight. those small and fast movements are so hard to master especially if you're doing it with a group. it needs to look synchronized and they did it perfectly

Yes, they grow so much in vocal, rap, dance, and physic. In my opinion, SUNGHOON has improved a lot, especially about dance and physical side. He was a figure skater, used to do elegant moves. He had difficulties on his footwork for doing quick sharp moves. Now, he has improved himself. Big improvement!!!
About his physical look.... A lot of Engene are laying on floor. He's deep voice in doing rap, his face expressions, he's so charismatic!
And his muscles... Engene girls gasp for breathing 😄😄😄

Heeseung seriously came to take names, that was an attack if ever I've seen one and no matter how many times I see it I can't get over it, love him so much.
Ni-Ki did great as always and his choreography change in his 2nd rap portion was wonderful, really cannot wait to see what happens when he finally starts doing all their choreography himself.
I'm really proud of them all, as this choreography is super hard. Sunoo has improved so much as a dancer and that is great to see, I hope he continues to stay healthy.
Probably the ones I was most shocked with for this would be Sunoo with the amount of power he put into it, Heeseung as I've never seen him so aggressive, and Sunghoon because where did that attitude come from? The sweet, awkward MC is nowhere to be found right now it seems.
It'll be a long time yet before we see their limit I think and it'll be one hell of a fun and wild ride until that day does come.

I was thinking the same. Im not a dancer by any means. But watching dancers reaction to kpop dance practices for a long time gave me small knowledge. And for sure that chorus, hitting hard with precise control is really hard. Its like running too fast then you have to stop abruptly. So goooddddd

right? I was thinking the same thing. when it comes to dancing, they don't give sunoo much credit as they give to the other members. I mean maybe it's not sunoo's forte but he just improved so much this comeback and I think that his dancing skills can be really seen in the recent performances. the sharpness, the way he lay sideways with that hand on the neck part (he even flex his flexibility here!), the expressions are different (his eyes esp!), his moves are so clean. he improved a LOT and I need everyone to see that!
@@kmsnflwr yes!! the thing is Sunoo has always been very good at dancing tbh, he's caught my eye since I-land. I just feel like he doesn't have such a strong stage presence maybe? So people discredit him when it comes to dancing, even tho he's amazing :')
But I feel like now he's getting better in terms of stage presence and I love his solo parts, he does them so well (and they're hard af bc it's slow dancing which can look very awkward if you don't perform it well).

i so love this song & choreo too! both so hard to do because of the fast pace, note changes and high notes, plus you can easily look bad when you're not executing the moves the right way..
