Green Tea Tiramsu : Honeykki

- I am aware that tiramisu is layered ladyfingers, but the sponge cake went better with the green tea so I altered the recipe a bit.
Also, the you can consider cream cheese as a cheaper alternative to mascarpone :)

It would have been better with just 2 layers of bread. This was almost a cake.
But it was still good. I absolutely adore green tea.
It's much simpler with castella cake, so give it a try.
*Ingredients
Syrup: 140g water, 90g sugar, 5g green tea powder (melt the butter in microwave and leave to cool)
cake: 3 eggs, 120g sugar, 100g cake flour, 5g green tea powder
30g butter, 30g milk, vanilla extract
cream: 200g cream cheese, 100g creme fraiche(whipping cream or double cream)
70g sugar, green tea powder+water 1tsp
*Beware,
1. Take enought time to cool the butter+milk after putting it in the microwave for 40 seconds.
2. Also with the green tea syrup, you need to melt the syrup all the way in the microwave.
3. You can adjust the amount of cream cheese and sugar for the green tea cream.
Animal fresh cream tastes much better!

its so funny that people saying this is not tiramisu. mind you, famous patissier in my country also use sponge cake instead of lady finger. sponge cake tiramisu in jar are very famous dessert, the new trend in my country. baking will always evolve, new recipes created, thats what i feel the joy of baking.

Exactly! Almost no tiramisu is authentic anymore - if it's to be "real," then it would be served in a brothel. I think the purists should relax.
The problem is that the tiramisù cream is made of eggs yolks, sugar, mascarpone and soft white eggs! And I'm Italian so I'm pretty sure about this.

저도 이런 영상이 더 좋아요ㅎㅎ. 아오기리님이 말씀하신것같은 영상을 제작하는 유투버들이야 많지만 꿀키님처럼 음식, 음향, 영상미 모두를 고려해서 한편의 뮤직비디오 혹은 짧은 단편영화같은 느낌으로 마음의 안정을 주는 음식관련 영상을 업로드하는 유투버분들은 많지 않으니까요ㅎㅎ.

The further I go into the video the more i think man... that's a lot of sugar...
It is but sometimes sugar acts as a stabilizer and keeps things moist... though in this case i think 100g is enough. Its alot of sugar but store bought/bakery foods probably contain even more sugar.

You use cream cheese to make tiramisu, I like to use cream cheese to make my tiramisu too, because I think Mascarpone is too creamy and too rich. Cream cheese has nice tangy taste to it. Great video!!!

I don't like the taste ladyfingers, so replace by sliced sponge cake and it seems tastier. Thanks for your recipe. This is the most delicious green tea tiramisu I've ever tried. For the classic tiramisu, I used creamcheese instead of mascarpone. Well, taste perfect! :)))
