      @Laura-sg6ss ปีที่แล้ว

      @Catherine Alexis indeed, but I think due to the origins of the land. Meaning when things may go wrong in the West, they have somewhere to go to. It is a bit different because Afro Caribbeans are the majority, so they technically have "land." However, I feel as though they should feel like they have a home where they initially came from. The way Europe continues to suck from Africa is intentional, its to keep it on its knees so its children in the continent and out don't feel safe, they don't feel connected and they don't feel like they can run home. But I definitely agree with you! It's more of just having a base. The foundation. But again, trust me I agree as well as Afro Latinos etc etc! Big up🥰

The point and the purpose of this kind of meeting is to find a better solution for billions of people both in Africa and America. So materialism or American capitalism hasn’t done anything good for the African-American because those capitalism makes everyone for themselves therefore separate us from one another. Kwame is basically saying that we will never truly be free parroting the behavior of the oppressor... I agree. The other two gentlemen are saying that our ancestors helped shore up the oppressor's system with their blood, sweat & tears & why shouldn't we be reaping the benefits of what our ppl built, then, & what we've continued to build in contemporary society. Basically, why can't we have OUR piece of the American pie? I agree with that, to an extent, because Kwame is saying that that pie should be thrown away. We shouldn't want any parts of that pie. That pie is tainted. That pie is evil... 🤷🏾‍♀️ I don't disagree with that.
    But maybe it's possible to weaponize the system against ITSELF. That's where ppl like Llewellyn would come in. *sigh* 😒 Idk... I feel like everyone wants the same thing, in their heart of hearts. We need all hands on deck for true revolution. I believe ppl with every pov could contribute.

    I've seen this conversation a few times. The interesting observation that allows you to see the slant of each commentator is to follow the money. You can see that Allegiance is either to the people or the funding. The editor is on the Wall Street Journal plantation, so he strives for validation from his corporate masters. The capitalist bottling company owner strives to be accepted as equal in the elitist circle. The first two refute the fact they are "viewed as less than." Brother Toure and Sister Edelin represent the struggle to free us in bondage by the masters and elites. As Baba Dick Gregory would say "I don't need yo validation! I am validated by the CREATOR of all by knowing where I come FROM." Emperialism and Capitalism needs peasants to dominate. Once we realize that society is conditioned to ignore the reality that only 2% of the globe are not viewed as expendable, then will Brother Kwame's perspective be appreciated 😉.

  • @ThePerimeters
    @ThePerimeters 4 ปีที่แล้ว +25

    We need to first nail down what we choose to be. Many of us are ashamed of our heritage and don't want anything to do with that culture and history. Their minds have been reformed and deformed. Kwame and all the others espousing black power became a radical needle in the eyes of blacks that wanted in on the wealth and power brokering which meant adopting European ideology and practices. It's the reason the black community became what it became today. They abandoned the community and African values. That young brother (Leon Winters) was so deceived as he is willing to adopt a culture that basically murdered senselessly millions of natives. Putting on the blinders is and was the problem. Crack prevented Africans in America from reaching the next phase Ramon Edelin speaks of. Now with all the murders we get we were never going to be included unless we betrayed ourselves and our people.

      Black is a diametric opposing position in relation to white. In a struggle if your enemy screams white power you counter by yelling black power. One of the problems is this, at one point in our history in America we were actively engaged in the war against our enemies. But somewhere that struggle was bought off with the currency of the illusion of inclusion. So today our enemy is still at war with us but too many of us have simply resigned ourselves to becoming their accomplices, knowingly or not,, in our destruction.
