I'm not sure it was a good idea to walk backwards while you are reporting. I could just see him snapping somebody's 5K pole and completely ruining their day.
This is not proper fishing to me why not put them on a proper lake which as been there for over 60 or 70 years if not more .Fishing a mixed fishery and not knowing what or where the fish are now that's a challenge no practice just a match over 3 days then see who are top fisherman all it is these days is a massive man made lake stuffed with carp and what else as been man made its just coming down to money and fame these days our grandfathers and father's never took us fishing for that when we was all kids .To me it's started getting to competitive and fishing should not be about that it should be about the fish you catch and remember not treating them like cattle .

The 50,000 is for men AND women to enter - the 1k is for women only - so there should be no complaints.
