a week in my life as an art student in📍Glasgow, Scotland

Come along with me as I spend a week in my studio! I’m an MFA student at the Glasgow School of Art and this January I’m starting on a few projects including knitted lace with knitting machines, a small zine, and a sculpture for our year 1 interim show.

beautiful vid + knit Blake! I recommend positioning yourself sitting down while using the knitting machine and moving the carriage along with both hands. Non-ergonomic use causes an unbalanced development of back and arm muscles, and long term back pain. health first ! mwah x

i’m applying for the interaction design ba at gsa for next year, and i love knitting - had no idea there was a knitting machine! will DEFINITELY be put to use if i get in next year 🤞
