I just wanted to let you know you do a great job of reviewing and explaining a car I would not hesitate to get on an airplane here in Florida and fly all the way out to you to purchase a vehicle from your company.
there are some nice 510s around the southeast- mainly because they can't be stolen and driven to cuba. ive seen some clean garage queen 510s in tampa and around pinellas county. keep your eyes on the newspaper ads.
This car was my first way back in 1969 when they landed on the moon. The dash was a bit different and the car was not cutomized like this one, but still the very same body. No wonder it did not catch rust. Under neath the car body was galvanized. I had it for 7 years, so did the next owner, and the next owner. In all the car became 21 years old on Norwegian roads, which are not like I5 running through Oregon.
with $200 for a cam and an SSS kit from the dealer and busting your knuckles for an afternoon- you could turn your little 510 into a bmw-eating machine- those were the days....
Fucking hell!!! I am not gonna buy that car, but seriously: The way you showed everything on this video, I mean I can not think of anything you left out.... Like the cracks and the wobbles in the paint and all that. That was amazing!! I think you did an awesome job in this video representing the car. Never seen such an exhaustive workaround. Very well done, sir!!!
@@donwest5387 Yes, Datsun 510s were exported to North America as the PL510. The right hand drive Nissan 510 Bluebirds were JDM cars, which stands for Japanese Domestic Market. The 510 in this vid is left hand drive so not a JDM Bluebird SSS.
3 year old video for bring a trailer, online auction if your not familiar with them. They have some nice dimes come through, they all seem to get top dollar. You can check out all the previous sales results
you said about the same thing on another 510/1600/bluebird site. not true. i saw the first 1200 ute i'd seen in a couple of years the other day. cant remember the last time i saw a 1600 on the road. i miss the 1600 wagon i had for 15 years. top car. but i agree about putting a more modern motor in them.
ur crazy 44 year old car !!!!! did u watch the same video. I'll bet it sold for 15-18k back in 2017? I know your comment is a year old but its just as ridiculous
This is one of the nicest and best condition 510 I've seen on TH-cam.
have a look at mine...
Best car I ever owned. Bored and stroked L20B with all the SSS components for an engine I got from Japan.
so it was shifted with the wrong hand and gassed with the wrong foot

Thanks For Sharing! We'd love you to come out even after a year later! sorry for the late reply!

I wish that car manufacturers. would make a simple car like this one. Because it would be affordable for working people.
It's nice to see a straight forward apprasial of the car.

That is beautiful, love the character of little Japanese cars.
Is this where the concept of the 'Bluebird of Happiness' came from? Because this makes me very happy.
a 510 that runs on spiked corn whiskey (E85) would make me a happy camper.
I had a 73 in 75. Butterscotch. Guy bought it from me to race. Should have kept it.
Intro music; Fugazi: Waiting Room. Nice!!!! Car’s not bad either.
Yeah that was a great song for sure!
This little box was quite like, similar to the BMW 2002. Thanks your sharing.

Hey thanks for the compliments, most people knit pick my videos, lol say I don’t show enough, I don’t know anyone else that is this thorough, 😂
I wouldn't mind having a 510 like this one !
What a Datsun sss. Bravo from 🇮🇩 Indonesia
As we would say over here in England, in motor trade parlance ,a very straight and genuine old car !!!.
but this one doesn't leak- you guys have trouble accepting that
Magnificent car never seen this one in Europe liiiiiiike it 👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
Waiting Room! Nice.
the tach will still hook up even if the ignition is electronic. I got mine working.
great video....Awesome car....
So; you cut the "SSS" roof off and put a standard 510 roof on? Same on the tail-llights.
hes a really handy guy
Beautiful car
hi, fantastic, what is the tyre size and rim size you have used for this car
you know off the top of my head I can’t remember watch the video I do talk about it thought.
You need to have Weber's, or solexs in that thing
so what would many suggest as prep and protection for such a nice under carriage if the car was to be relocated to a salt zone?
prayer to the Snow & Ice Gods....
The motor might be an 1800, but that's a North American export PL510, not a JDM Bluebird SSS
they came to North America?
