It’s weird how they all exist in the same universe and survived the same events of Raccoon City, but never crossed paths.

Something I love about Chris and the Resident Evil Remake, if anyone wants a #51, is how he fires the shotgun from the hip when fighting enemies, but takes aimed shots from the shoulder when fighting bosses.

Chris Redfield & Leon Kennedy are the absolute best characters in the RE universe. I sincerely hope that we get to see Chris & Leon together in RE:9 or at very least a hint of their teaming up together. Imagine how badass that game would be.
With Jill, she had immunity from the Progenitor, T-virus with the Nemesis, and the T-Abyss virus, making her more immune to Wesker's experiments. Literally surviving what Lisa Trevors couldn't.

Although, as an addendum to the "Chris's smoking habit" fact, he is shown openly lighting a cigarette and smoking in preparation for the "briefly play as Chris and Hound Wolf Squad" segment before the final battle with Mother Miranda in RE8.

The cutscene of Rebecca in Vendetta is very similar to Zoe's infection in one of the canon Resident Evil 7 DLCs. I guess it was inspired from there. As far as I remember Rebecca was supposed to return in RE 7 which might have led to the creation of Zoe for both look very similar.
Chris also smoked a cigarette late into RE8 Face for Chris in RE5, RE6 and movie Vandetta had become too iconic that Capcom had to scrap the RE7 version of Chris and go back to his last design. (personally 7's Chris look always looked bad like "Where is his chin??" bad, Didn't have the chiselled features of the boulder punching chris.)

No more horror, exploring one well designed place or puzzles, just a linear michael bay movie experience with some hallowen decorations on the corners. I think Wesker shows when the change happens, he goes from a scheming traitor to a Matrix villain. Capcom probably understood at some point that good horror keeps people away, so now they make non scary "horror". Chris taking steroids, or at least mega-bulking up, kinda made sense to me seeing how outmatched he felt when fighting Wesker in Code Veronica. He was clearly trying to, at least to me, get stronger.
Interesting thing about the Ozarks mountain is it's actually just a plateau. The entire ozarks is a massive chunk of limestone bedrock that is elevated above the region around it. It shields the people nearby from the worst parts of an earthquake of the new madrid fault line. The people would feel it for sure. Geological surveys show that people would do well. It won't be at a catastrophic level because the limestone bedrock will act like a buffer absorbing the energy shocks from the earthquake. The majority of the damage is going to be North East & South.

That intro from the original game was the best God damn thing ever, it's leaps and bounds over the stupid CGI crap. They were real people and they all represent their characters well. The dogs were terrifying as hell and there were tons of blood. I don't know why people hate it.
It turns out that the directors cut basement theme being so bad is because Capcom used the wrong instruments when putting it into the game. The composer pretending to be deaf obviously couldn't say, hey you're not the right instruments.

in the german version of resident evil 1 directors cut, there is a bug which causes the lockpick to refered to as the dumdum rounds. this does not happen in the german regular version of the game. when you start as Jill and Barry hands you the lockpick, the infotext appears "sie erhielten dumdumgeschosse" (meaning "you received dumdum rounds) and every time you pick a lock it also says "sie verwendeten dumdumgeschosse". that confused me for a very long time, and i thought there were some item names mixed up, but i could never find the dum dum rounds to get this to make sense. now i know they've been deleted.. xD

As far as Barry Burton's face models are concerned, some fans find resemblance between Julia Voth's husband David Zonshine and Barry's face, that's way I wrote about him on my blog. However, Capcom used face models from different modeling agencies like TEAM, Bravo models, JUNES and DONNA Inc. And there is a model named Cedric from Bravo modeling agency and some fans think that Cedric is Barry's face model in Resident Evil Remake.
Always a big fan of the videos Ink Ribbon nice job. There's only one thing in this video as well as other videos I've seen about the Director's Cut that's slightly untrue. There are two versions of the Director's Cut that were released. The Director's Cut that has a demo disc for Resident Evil 2 was released in '97 and that version doesn't have the terrible music changes. However the Director's Cut DualShock Version released in '98 does have those terrible changes. This confused me growing up when everybody talked about how bad the Director's Cut is when that was the version that I grew up with and I think the Director's Cut gets a bit of a bad rap because of the DualShock version. But hopefully will somebody do a video about that specific changes if they haven't done it already. RE FOR LIFE!!!

For fact 34, I believe Jennifer Simpson from Clock Tower predates Resident Evil for "first playable female character in a survival horror game". There's probably games that predate Clock Tower for that but none that come to the top of my head.
I'm VERY surprised that the mansion is only 10K ft². My house is modest and it's 2000ft². It feels like you could fit it in the foyer of the mansion. The statue pushing room is like 50'×20' (1000ft²) and I can think of at least 200' of hallway (@6' wide, 1200ft²). So that's 4200ft² for just a portion of just one of the four (I think) floors. I did Google it and looked at a floor plan that corroborated the video (was at least closer than my estimate), but it still amazes me. I guess the space in each room is smaller than one would expect from a mansion.
Played through RE1 for gamecube quite a few times. Always went with Jill so I could get the grenade launcher, use the glitch for infinite ammo for it, and mow my way through some zombies and hunters.
At 43:00 regarding actors/acting - I'm a SAG-AFTRA Union Actor/Performer, and back in the 90s to now it depends on the project whether it is Union, or nonunion and they sometimes use nonunion actors to do VO (voice acting) roles because they nailed the auditions. (though nowadays auditions are done by submitting video auditions which honestly are harder to do than in person and the videos never allow you to sound as good as you normally are due to echoes, lighting, ETC since not everyone has proper equipment to do professional videos for auditions, and on nonunion projects Union performers cannot work those projects, and vice versa) I've been in the industry for 13, or 14 years now and I started big roles before I was eligible to become a member of SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild Union) and as far as the actress who played Jill she probably was not helped by production and the director in what they wanted her to do as far as how to look, show emotion, add realism, ETC. That unfortunately happened a lot in the 90's and some actors then got a bad rep when it was not their faults, but the directors fault for not being clear on what they wanted the actor/actress to do in the shots. In cases where foreign productions using English speaking actors this happens all too often even now. Let's put this in another way to better understand; ever watch the movie Troll 2? Italian production who spoke no English trying to tell the actors (all nonunion and never acted a day in their lives) what they wanted and how to say their lines on the sides given to them. (sides = scripts) That is why I give this actress a pass because I would bet it was not her fault.

No more horror, exploring one well designed place or puzzles, just a linear michael bay movie experience with some hallowen decorations on the corners.
I think Wesker shows when the change happens, he goes from a scheming traitor to a Matrix villain. Capcom probably understood at some point that good horror keeps people away, so now they make non scary "horror". Compare the feeling of these two animated movies and you will understand:

Chris taking steroids, or at least mega-bulking up, kinda made sense to me seeing how outmatched he felt when fighting Wesker in Code Veronica. He was clearly trying to, at least to me, get stronger.
Interesting thing about the Ozarks mountain is it's actually just a plateau. The entire ozarks is a massive chunk of limestone bedrock that is elevated above the region around it. It shields the people nearby from the worst parts of an earthquake of the new madrid fault line. The people would feel it for sure. Geological surveys show that people would do well. It won't be at a catastrophic level because the limestone bedrock will act like a buffer absorbing the energy shocks from the earthquake. The majority of the damage is going to be North East & South.

I personally think that Gelzer, from the Beta Characters portion, was reworked/reimagined into the RE Vendetta CG film as the character Diego while he was infected with his restraining suit on, both of them have that "Bane" look.
Depending on how you look at it, Jill is not the first female survival horror protagonist as Alone In The Dark came out in 1992 and featured Emily Heartwood. However, the term “survival horror” was coined by Resident Evil, so she technically squeaks by.

Jill wasn't the first female playable character in a survival horror game. Before her there was Jennifer from the Clock Tower series which came out in 1995 for the super Famicom. Resident came out in 96. 🧐 Actually I think Alone in the dark might have been the first. IDK. There was also sweet home and the Friday the 13th game.

That intro from the original game was the best God damn thing ever, it's leaps and bounds over the stupid CGI crap. They were real people and they all represent their characters well. The dogs were terrifying as hell and there were tons of blood. I don't know why people hate it.
It turns out that the directors cut basement theme being so bad is because Capcom used the wrong instruments when putting it into the game. The composer pretending to be deaf obviously couldn't say, hey you're not the right instruments.

in the german version of resident evil 1 directors cut, there is a bug which causes the lockpick to refered to as the dumdum rounds. this does not happen in the german regular version of the game. when you start as Jill and Barry hands you the lockpick, the infotext appears "sie erhielten dumdumgeschosse" (meaning "you received dumdum rounds) and every time you pick a lock it also says "sie verwendeten dumdumgeschosse". that confused me for a very long time, and i thought there were some item names mixed up, but i could never find the dum dum rounds to get this to make sense. now i know they've been deleted.. xD

As far as Barry Burton's face models are concerned, some fans find resemblance between Julia Voth's husband David Zonshine and Barry's face, that's way I wrote about him on my blog. However, Capcom used face models from different modeling agencies like TEAM, Bravo models, JUNES and DONNA Inc. And there is a model named Cedric from Bravo modeling agency and some fans think that Cedric is Barry's face model in Resident Evil Remake.

Always a big fan of the videos Ink Ribbon nice job. There's only one thing in this video as well as other videos I've seen about the Director's Cut that's slightly untrue. There are two versions of the Director's Cut that were released. The Director's Cut that has a demo disc for Resident Evil 2 was released in '97 and that version doesn't have the terrible music changes. However the Director's Cut DualShock Version released in '98 does have those terrible changes. This confused me growing up when everybody talked about how bad the Director's Cut is when that was the version that I grew up with and I think the Director's Cut gets a bit of a bad rap because of the DualShock version. But hopefully will somebody do a video about that specific changes if they haven't done it already. RE FOR LIFE!!!

For fact 34, I believe Jennifer Simpson from Clock Tower predates Resident Evil for "first playable female character in a survival horror game". There's probably games that predate Clock Tower for that but none that come to the top of my head.

I'm VERY surprised that the mansion is only 10K ft². My house is modest and it's 2000ft². It feels like you could fit it in the foyer of the mansion. The statue pushing room is like 50'×20' (1000ft²) and I can think of at least 200' of hallway (@6' wide, 1200ft²). So that's 4200ft² for just a portion of just one of the four (I think) floors.
I did Google it and looked at a floor plan that corroborated the video (was at least closer than my estimate), but it still amazes me.
I guess the space in each room is smaller than one would expect from a mansion.

Played through RE1 for gamecube quite a few times. Always went with Jill so I could get the grenade launcher, use the glitch for infinite ammo for it, and mow my way through some zombies and hunters.
At 43:00 regarding actors/acting - I'm a SAG-AFTRA Union Actor/Performer, and back in the 90s to now it depends on the project whether it is Union, or nonunion and they sometimes use nonunion actors to do VO (voice acting) roles because they nailed the auditions. (though nowadays auditions are done by submitting video auditions which honestly are harder to do than in person and the videos never allow you to sound as good as you normally are due to echoes, lighting, ETC since not everyone has proper equipment to do professional videos for auditions, and on nonunion projects Union performers cannot work those projects, and vice versa) I've been in the industry for 13, or 14 years now and I started big roles before I was eligible to become a member of SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild Union) and as far as the actress who played Jill she probably was not helped by production and the director in what they wanted her to do as far as how to look, show emotion, add realism, ETC. That unfortunately happened a lot in the 90's and some actors then got a bad rep when it was not their faults, but the directors fault for not being clear on what they wanted the actor/actress to do in the shots. In cases where foreign productions using English speaking actors this happens all too often even now. Let's put this in another way to better understand; ever watch the movie Troll 2? Italian production who spoke no English trying to tell the actors (all nonunion and never acted a day in their lives) what they wanted and how to say their lines on the sides given to them. (sides = scripts) That is why I give this actress a pass because I would bet it was not her fault.
