I know i may not be the best sol player, but usually with sol the absolute rule is that you must be very patient, as weird as it sounds, sol has a lot of tools to counter the opponent, but just going up to them and far slash will just get you killed half the time, try to get your neutral game better and try to insert clean hit volcanic viper into your combos to deal good damage, hope this helps!
You need to kara 6s the 2k to hit hvv properly. I can't do it right now so i just 5k cancel the 2k and then 6s. If your 2k is whiffing you may need to micro dash to properly space. A 2s can also work in the meantime.
it depends on the opponents height and your distance from the corner. Try delaying it slightly and cancelling into HVV without kara. 2K 6S kara HVV is needed for some combos that leave you too far from the corner to hit 2K even with dashing, e.g when you do jS jH jD you usually need kara HVV.
@@a_shrxydud thanks for replying. Usually it seems like I cant even get the special cancel part and the training dummy has recovered from the 2k hitstun before the HVV comes out. It could be I'm just not fast enough with the inputs not sure, just looking for some tips. Do you know of a good combo string to practice this with? I've been repping CH c.S H 2k HVV.
