I now want a spoofed version of super man that's only difference is he's a skeleton. Still works for the news paper with just glasses to hide his identity

@@Runedragonx there's a class perk I want to say it's either Pathfinder or D&D 4 or 5 but it's called Lich loved which for all intents and purposes makes you ageless.
I always loved the thought of a good lich. They don't always have to be evil. Yes, I know the method to become a lich is definitely evil but it's fun to imagine.
Forgotten Realms got you covered. Baelnorns, sometimes called baelnorn liches, were elves who chose a path of Prime-bound duty beyond death which closely resembled lichdom. They often did so to serve or safeguard their families, communities, or important places, and acted as keepers and protectors of elven clans and holdings far beyond the lifespan of a living elf.
This isn't it. God emperor was born among Hittites, after thousands of shamans sacrificed themselves for it. There weren't any eldars or orcs on earth then.
This was a great story, a bitter and frustrated lich which eventually with the interaction with a young girl regained his humanity now helping the people of the village with his powers of evil for good.
I had a Lawful Evil Corrupted Cleric character that slowly worked his way through to Necromancer and ultimately became a BBEG Lich as i transitioned from player to DM in my tabletop games years ago. At one point he was locked into his tower atop mountains overlooking a village. People would come from all over to gawk or threaten and attack him while he was locked away. Much the same, a group of children weren't afraid and this Lich had always been the Class Clown so he needed the attention more than he needed the unending fights. Cue new BBEG, in a story I did not DM, but one of the players from our group did, deciding to take over the country the village is in. He sends _heroes_ (read: mercenaries) to attack the Lich and "free" the village "from tyranny", aka pillage the village and fail to kill a Lich whose phylactery isn't lost, but isn't in an easily found location either. Goons gonna goon, cannon shells start hitting walls, magical sigils start weakening, school gets demolished with all children inside (we played dark campaigns and I rolled poorly), the Lich gets loose and is not happy. I loved this story and the writer captured that feeling of schadenfreude when you know what's about to happen. 👍
Aww this one was rather wholesome. The mean old grouchy litch in a ditch gets taught to care about others from a little girl who thinks his curses and threats are silly. ❤ Kinda reminds me of a necromancy version of "The giving tree by Shel Silverstein.
What a great story. All he needed was a good cause to care about, good people to protect. Here is a like and comment to help your channel grow and get you the recognition you deserve.
I was half waiting for Kissiana to ask "I didn't survive the battle, did I?" "No. You didn't." Strus’tul turned away. "But return to your family. Enjoy their company while you can. They will not last forever."
I'm thinking he had the boy destroy his body and release him from the magic trap that held him. A powerful lich indeed to reconstitute so quickly and his phylactery must have been quite close😀
I may be Christian but I play a Necromancy type character in many games especially card games and while I’m not a fan of death or more undead things that are creepy or even out of control, I found this just touching enough to cry over a little.
Children are the purest form of humanity that there is. There’s a reason that their joy and well-being has become a priority throughout society, why children are the ones preyed on by the scum and vile and acts of true evil. When the children of humanity play, giants sleep calmly. But if you dare make them cry, beware the skeletons in their closets. “Boo! 👻 I am their protector play-thing!” -(The stuffed animals on the bed)
I and my wife have been Gamers for better than 40 years. Some time ago, we discovered a 2nd ed writeup for a type of elven lich that protected some elven communities. After that, my wife established a home brew god of non-evil intelligent undead. This lich would fit perfectly as an NPC in some of the games she DM's.
Now all he has to do is become the protector of the world. And when he dies he will become what he always wanted.. ruler of the world. A benevolent one. Then perhaps after a time he will acend to godhood.
He's such a failure as a litch! Other litches wont speak the fallen one's name, he shames them all. They are the unholy, the guardians of cursed tomes and treasures beyond mortal ken; all except HIM! Great daemons ! HIM! The traitor! The fallen who teaches forbidden lore to mortals! They await ,because litches are patient beyond belief, they await, the day the humans will inevitably betray him. On that day ,the mad cackle of litches everywhere, will echo around the world, mocking him.
So the Lic can get freedom anytime he want but stay at some road forever because him unconsciously feel bad for what he done before....🤭🤭🤭 Kingdom of Dead😂😂😂🤭
NOW THAT! That is a TRUE backstory for a Warlock's Undead Patron!
"I call apon my Patron's powers from Beyond Death, Good Morning Mister Skeleman!"
All made up of bone, shaped like a man! He’s got skeleton feet and skeleton hands! He’s got calcium strength at his command! Skeleton maaaaaan!
Yes thank you

It may have been her who issued the greeting, or maybe her children and grandchildren. Either way, it's beautiful.

The thing is, if he could have truly commanded ants he would have had a nigh unstoppable army
Nobody commands the ants, they command themselves.
I like this one a loot it is a pretty cool story and the story telling was great
Stories about undead love ones.. protecting the people that they care about…this brings a smile to my face..

D&D 3rd edition has the archlich.
I can think of one, but I cannot recall his name, nor his beloved druid. He merely sought to stop the pain.

Ever read "Servant of the Bones"? Great stuff!👍
It's all imagination. There can be a good lich and evil heroes.
Small acts of kindness can go a long way.
it makes me wonder what happened to the lich's ant colony and it's grand and mighty army after the story
I don't usually like prequels, but finding out how Warhammer's God Emperor got started really adds a new dimension for me, you know?

Either that or move him out of the trap’s range to allow him use magic to reconstitute himself without needing the phylactery
The story was beautiful.
Lich in a ditch is one of my favorites, I love the narration.
OMG. Another amazing story with a twist. I love it. Bravo.
I have to say, this one is now in my top favorites list
Had a campaign once with a Death Knight like character who hunted/investigated/exorcised the supernatural with his living decedents.
That was truly and endearing tale.
Thank you so very much for this beautiful and funny (at times) story. For the author, for the narrator 💐⭐⭐💐
I did not expect that ending, It was great!
A Lich that turned to good!
Beautiful story and naration. Thank you.
