Thanks for the video content! Sorry for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you heard the talk about - Honulian Wiffy Remover (just google it)? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for making money as a candle maker without the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my m8 at last got great success with it.
I've been binge watching and taking notes on your videos for the past 2 days. This has been the most informative video(s) I have come across and has been a big help for me starting out. Can't say thank you enough! On to the next video lol
Omg where have you been all my life 😭. I love candles, kinda obsessed lol. I've been watching so many videos on TH-cam how to make them but got way more confused then was before. Thank God I found your channel, you explain everything so well. Now finally things make sense. Thank you so much ❤️
OMG, I just ordered the same tins from Dream Vessel and your video could not be right on time. I am so thankful for your videos and approach to making candles perfect for the consumers, as a beginner in the candle making business your videos are very helpful.
I just purchased jars from dollar tree just like the glass Libby jar. And was thinking how man wicks should I use? Then poof you posted this video! Thank you!
I brought the same containers the Maroc be my first time making large containers more than one wick I hope it comes out well your tip help me out a lot
Thank you so much for this info I’m currently in the testing phase right now and I have the 16oz tin jars I started off with three wicks and definitely noticed that one side of the edge wasn’t melting properly so I’m definitely gonna try 4wicks and see if that’ll balance out which I’m pretty sure it will thank you for this video 🙏🙏
Thanks for the video. You did mentioned that you use 2 wooden wicks for the zen tin but I was wondering which size? Also what's your though of using CD or ECO wicks in zen tins?
If you form your two wicks into a double helix in the square container, all four corners are more likely to melt as the candle burns down. This can be accomplished by pouring many thin layers and twisting the wick holder a little after each layer solidifies and before pouring the next layer. It would be labor-intensive, so probably not commercially viable but maybe fun to make one or two for yourself, maybe even with rainbow colors.
Hi! Love the videos! Are you able to do a video on cleaning up and refilling old candle jars? Like how to remove left over wax, clean up and refill the jars?
I put my failed candles on a candle warmer until completely melted then pour the wax into an empty can (dog & cat food cans are always available in my house!😁), let it harden & throw it away. Right after I pour the wax into a can, I use extremely hot water to rinse as much residual wax out of the container, then use paper towels to finish cleaning it. Hot water & dish soap ensure it is completely cleaned.
Jeff your videos are so valuable and make me feel like someone has my back. I'm wondering if you cut those cardboard circles to the burn diameter of each wick? I think it's a wonderful idea that could save a lot of trial and error. Thank you so much!

I know this is super old but hopefully you will still see my question. I am wanting to test on the miraca and zen from dream vessels that you showed in the video. The wick suggestion helped a lot thank you. Would you use those same wicks with coco apricot wax? That is primarily the wax I want to use. Thanks so much. You're awesome
I'm just getting familiar with making candles and your videos have been so informative and helpful! You're the best! Understanding which wicks to use is of great assistance. Thanks so much! Do you have a blog because I am not on Facebook.
Hello, hoping that you answer, but I did not hear you mention in this video or answered any question previously about this in the comments. QUESTION: What were the diameter size for the wooden wicks that you used in the Zen vessels? Thank you!
I enjoyed your video. I just made some candles in big Atlantic clamshells (6-7 inches) using 464 soy wax, and I think CD 18 wicks, but the wick holders are visible after a short burn. Any remedy, Thx! What would you recommend in a wood wick? Ty
Hey Jeff, thank you for all that you do to help. I was wondering what wick would you recommend using Golden Wax 464 with the Zen tins? I would like to use a wooden wick but not sure if that’s smart? Thank you. Blessings.
Standley you are badass and I love your videos!!! :)) I have a question.... What if your vessel is a tin can 1" deep 3" wide using Pillar wax BW 921...What wick would you recommend?
Hey Stan hey! Thank you for replying to my email... Hey where did you get the zen containers? I make candles for myself and give as gifts and I love those containers. Thank you sir.
Hi there! Quick question. My container is 4.5 inch wide 3 inch depth. Using Joy wax. Want to use .003 medium wooden wick. Should I use 1 or 2 wooden wicks? Thank you!
hello Stanley Handcrafted How are you? when you make candle making can you able to use Stoneware (canister), rubberwood (lid) and silicone (ring) container is it safe for candle making?
Hi there - Just wondering which HTP wick size you would recommend using for double wicking a 4" diameter container size? Or would you recommend using 3 wicks? Thank you so much!
Hi, your vd's are so educational in this world of making candles I'm just starting up, so its all new to me, but one question i would like to ask, when you have find your perfect wick can you use that times 2 or 3 depending on the diameter of the container?
I have been making candles for years. I'm cheap, so I'll melt down stubs or candles that have tunneled, because the outer layer of was is harder than what actually burns in the melt pool. I've used paraffin and soy, some more successfully than others. I like wire cored wicks because they don't require a lot of support for when I pour into containers. Since they are difficult to find and braided cord available is made overseas, instructions aren't on the packages for the direction of the wick's weave for a clean burn. An upside down wick will produce mushrooms I was hoping you'd show the proper direction for the weave to stand in a base.
Hey Stanley, I ordered the candle starter kit from you which came with the igi 6006 parasoy wax. It is sooooo amazing. I want to stick with using only the igi 6006. Would you say its the best to use when making candles? I hope so because using other waxes, my candles have NEVER ever came out so great with amazing scents unit the igi 6006. What do you think?
I am watching a lot now because I like your deductive and experimental reasoning process, and am interested in how you pick which wax. This one was IGI 6006, which on paper sounds fine, but why not 6098 this time, or even the single pour production wax from Candles and Supplies, or the ubiquitous 646? What made you pick 6006? Well, really, what I'm asking is what makes you pick a given wax for a given project. I have seen others who tell us which wax, but not exactly why. Could you outline some characteristics from your experience? (Perhaps you have done this in your archives and I just haven't got there yet...) Mind you, I live in FLA, and it is already near 90 degrees here, so I have to think of melting points sometimes.
This is the BEST demo and explanation of the wick sizing selection I have ever seen.Thank you!❤
