Looks like you do things right. True out your bond beam, use thinset so mortar bed adheres to the gunite wall and then the mortar bed. Nice work. Bro you need to use knee pads please, you will pay later if you dont.
I call bs !! Letting the paver just plop down like that instead of gently placing it may or may not fuck up the glass or 6by6 tile just my opinion I do mosaics in Fl,Cali, and Georgia and I’m always getting calls back of glass being broken and it’s always because of that! All good though still getting paid to fix someone else mess 🤑
@@damiangso9867 I always have to go back and fix my tile when somebody else does the coping but not when I do it. When you have the beam prep with mortar It’s really difficult to Mess up the tile, the problem is when they set the coping straight on mortar.
For the mortar bed for the tile you use two to one ratio of sand mixed with grey portland cement mixed with Type S. Am I correct? I had trouble hearing what you said.
Can someone please tell me or describe (in detail) here what was used to adhere the blue tile? The narrator was saying something about two to one mixture but I could not understand him. I’m planning on retiling my pool myself but I don’t know what kind of cement to use. Is it regular thinset used on Bathroom & kitchen tile or is it a special type of thinset (waterproof)? Where can you get it?
We just use waterproof on glass tile. On regular tile we never had any problem with it, special tile for swimming pools. But I’m sure waterproof won’t hurt if you want to do it.

Thanks for this vid, its the only one on you tube that shows the detail that goes into waterline tile and coping with stone.
Shows how professional you are just by how clean the pool shell was when you wrapped up!
I do appreciate you makin sure it was clean though 😂😂👍🏼
Wow guys. Beautiful work. 😍
Very nice AND clean. You should very proud of your work!!
Nice work , I wish I saw this video before they did my coping and tile work because they surely didn’t do it like your guys did

Awesome work brother
Looks good nice job!

One suggestion. 2:1 sand and Portland is not waterproof. Use bondkote before tile thinset.
how long did you allow your grout to cure before adding water? What brand did you use? Thanks
Never seen it done backwards like this....Coping goes on first with a 1/2" mortar bed and then thin set to adhere coping to mortar bed..
Right... what the heck. How is doing it backwards the right way.. I'm so confused now.
I like that blue 6x6 tile. What is the brand of the tile.
Great job
We are replacing our Tile and replastering our pool what is the color and manufacture of that tile..Tia
How come you don’t butter the edge of the coping before you set it in place. IDK I’m just curious.
What type of mortar did you use for the tile and travertine..?

I thought it's supposed to be mortar first, then thinset on top? You put thinset first, then mortar first... I'm so confused.
How much did you charge for this?
Muy lindo trabajo.
What happens if you don’t grout b/w the coping?
I see there is no water proofing behind the tiles, is that optional?
We just use waterproof on glass tile. On regular tile we never had any problem with it, special tile for swimming pools. But I’m sure waterproof won’t hurt if you want to do it.
@@aquamasterpools9654 thanks, good to know
How deep is the pool ? And the measurements? Thank you
6 ft deep 16x32 plus tanning shelf
You acid wash the gunite before plaster ??
Is this in Arkansas?
How long to cure before water?
What kind of board do you use?

Looks like Jeremy Stryker shot that pool
Looks great I do similar work mainly just repairs on old pools check us out at Preferred pools in Whitehouse TX
Where's this job
Bet you none of those guys pay taxes.
Next time try to show every single step
And explain why the water tiles goes first and the coping at last
You did not show the details you put into it
It’s actually easier to put on the coping first then the tile but if you ain’t skilled enough I guess you can’t do it that way 😂
Try not mumbling.
