That's nice! I noticed that lowest all thread sticking out closest to the door side is a potential ankle biter. You might consider cutting that extra length off? Just prethinking.
@@RACGARAGE I understand! I enjoy the content, just thinking about your little helper helping dad out in the shop sometimes. But completely understand you debugging that new equipment.
Is the primary difference between the power hammer and pullmax the size of the dies? Wicked cool machine but I would hate to see the pullmax just collect dust now...
@@RACGARAGE Yeah, I got off my @ss and googled it to find out there's actually not that much overlap between the two machines. "A power hammer is like an automated hand hammer and striking over a die (anvil) and a Pullmax is like a press brake (beads, joggles, nibbling, punching, and shrinking etc). Looking forward to videos with both of these massive machines.
I had to get rid of it. Not the right time in my life to give a car away. I’m not making money off TH-cam yet to do it. I thought the channel would grow a lot faster.
Unfortunately if I sell plans it comes with an low key obligation of endless tech support. Plus many of the things I have done to the machine, aren’t represented in the CAD models. Also, after all the machining and laser cutting in todays economy (not to mention time) you’re better off buying a pullmax.
Well, thanks for replying to my question, I've watched your u tube video many times trying to figure it out with no success. I seem to enjoy making the machines more than actually using them. I do own a Bridgeport and a decent lathe and I really want a pullmax. They're very hard to find on the west coast and expensive. I'm apparently not smart enough to figure one out. @@steveshepard
@@steveshepard when he means endless tech support he means me. Hahaha im annoying I know but Steve has been great through the whole process. He could have just sold me the half dime hammer and told me to pound sand. I really appreciate it
Great job Travis color is nice Coming along very Nice
Nice machine great job with the building and installing.
So rad. Thanks for bringing us along.
I watch a lot of hotrod building and fabrication TH-cam videos , I have found the more tattoos the better the better videos are !!
Haha I guess I need more tattoos
Add Japan dryer to that oil paint next time. It works like an activator and will cure the paint overnight. Nice and dry/hard. Get it at HD or Lowes.
Ooh good tip, I’ll use that for sure
Thanks Travis for the update on your new tool, Excellent piece to have!
Next time pour the light green into the dark green.
Blonde moment.
Oh man what was I thinking!
Haze gray like a battleship!
Nice machine 👍

Yeah I’m waiting to get all the bugs out before I trim any threads

oh no way! pullmax will be used forever

👍🏻🍺 I just have to ask what happened to the 51 shoebox ?

Howdy, I hope that hammer doesn’t crack your concrete when you set it up to warp 9, the vibrations will be crazy nice painting 👌 love your work
So far honestly not that crazy but we’ll see haha
You should ask Steve why he doesn't sell plans for the pullmax he built

Yes, he seems like a very decent guy, I wish he were my neighbor but then I would be even more annoying
Hi, what is the throat depth of your hammer? From the center line if the die, to the column. Good video, thx
28.25”
Suggestion: next time just use a paper cup to mix a custom colour ,that way you won't ruin 2 cans of paint
You're camera work is getting good, I think I caught a whiff of that paint.
Looks like you took it out of a battleship……!
It really does 😆
I'm trying to figure out what a power hammer does that a pullmax doesn't. Why do you need both?
I will describe that in the last video when it’s fully operational (dies hardened)
Should have went the other way. Add light to the dark.
I have a question why do you second guess yourself all the time?????.
No idea. It’s part of who I am. Can’t change it
