You should try all of the originals. I played RE3 on the PS1 when I was a little kid. I miss those days. They made a poor attempt at the remake unfortunately. But I am absolutely in love with RE7 biohazard. Best modern RE of this generation.
I played it in 2017 after I finished RE 7 (was my first Resident) and since then, it was one of my 10 favourite games of all time. The best survival horror of all time in my opinion.
I'm using walkthroughs in their entirety for RE0 and 1 cuz the games are do damn confusing 😂. And I get frustrated when I can't figure something out. I care more about the full story than I do going in blind and feeling accomplished for doing something on my own
I remember being floored by these visuals when the game came out and even today they still hold up. The environments, the lighting, the shadows, the character models...all wrapped together with incredible sound effects and one of the eeriest scores in gaming. I'm proud to still have it on my shelf.
I didn't grow up playing these so to me the RE 2 remake is the scariest. RE 1 remaster is eerie and fun but hardly scary. I just wanna find the dang elevator batteries.

Crazy how in 2021 this is still one of the most beautiful looking games of all time. I remember my father taking me to the mall to buy this game. Totally blew me away when I was younger.

Playing this with my friends in high school in the 2000’s was 80% screaming and 20% running around like idiots trying to figure out what the hell we were supposed to do. When the first Crimson Head popped up controllers were thrown. Hearing the zombie sounds still raises my blood pressure but I love it anyway 😂
I’m playing for the first time with my wife navigating walkthroughs and we still have screaming! Funnily enough yesterday I went though a door that was supposed to be clear and you heard crazy footsteps and a crimson head ran at me! We both screamed as I blew him away with a grenade launcher. The stress! I have hunters all over the place now too so there’s a lot of “oh no what’s that noise?! Ahhhhh that’s what it was!!!!”
I’m just now playing this game for the first time ever and I’ve played EVERY other RE game besides Code Veronica … It took me about 5 minutes to reach how special and ahead of its time this game was… I was surprised to get stuck so fast and this walkthrough is top tier and already helping a lot. He does a ton of stealth-type games on the hardest difficulties and such, and he explains exactly what to do and how to do it. He also offers options other than what he did. It's rare to find those like him, but it's a treasure when you find them.

Loved this game but honestly all those door animations make puzzle solving a hassle sometimes. If there were none it would be much easier and fun to actualy look for clues ... and THANK GOD for the map. I heard the old game didnt have the feature where the map tells you that you got all items in the room ... i cant even imagine how stuck you can be if you miss something xD. I wish they made more of these games with fixed camera ... its smart, economic and really gives the devs and directors a way to master each shot of the game in terms of ambiance and lighting etc. Great playthrough!

Thus, I have a few questions: (1) It seems to me that the hunters are less numerous in the remake than in the original. Am I right or not? (2) It seems to me that the hunters are easier to beat in the remake than in the original. Am I right or not?
@Stephen Thomas In the original, I'm 100% sure that the hunters were more agile than in the remake. Plus in the original when you shot at one hunter (like at 2:16:52), you had generaly to run away because otherwise the hunter's counterattack would inevitably hurt you, but in the remake it is not the case. Thus, it seems to me that the hunters are easier to beat in the remake than in the original. Also, in the original, with Jill, you had to kill inevitably at least 16 hunters, while in the remake, it seems to me that you have to kill less hunters. Anyway, I'm not interested to argue with you.
Because I didn't want to die. Only baby mode difficulty gives enough ammo to shoot everything. I suggest you actually watch until the end and see yourself that almost ALL ammo that is found in the game is used. You don't have to like it. But disliking it because I'm not wasting ammo is stupid.
Haha was gonna use the ign one, and was like it does'nt show everything, this walkthrough is just way better, I'm gonna restart the game and follow this walkthrough, I wanted to play horror theme games for halloween, I never played any of the resident evils games.
I'd like to mention that this is on Real Survivor, so all item boxes are disconnected. Likely, for you the back tracking is not necessary. But instead, you'd have to be more careful with the door handle.

I'm just now getting into resident evil. I started by watching game 7 and 8. Now I'm going back to the originals. I tried playing the REmaster on my own but it's so hard without a guide. Props to you for doing this run on ur own! WP. Idk how people completed this game without a walkthrough when it came out :P
The game requires exploration. In the classics it was common to examine every part of the room before proceeding further. The remake makes it easy by having room completion shown on the map. Thanks for using my video. This walkthrough is based on real survivor difficulty, where all item boxes are disconnected. If you see backtracking, you don't have to mimick it. Finally, the door knob does not break here, so be careful, as on your difficulty it will.
I've played through the original Playstation game, the Gamecube RE-make, and now this HD PC version dozens of times, and totally amazed at the gameplay in this video. So impressive how you dodge so many time-killer enemies while taking zero damage! Awesome job, and I use this video as a blueprint for completing the game quicker.
Great walkthrough! This game is excellent. I honestly, can’t play it anymore because I grew out of the tank controls as well as the pacing but I still appreciate how much craft they put into this game. The makers relied heavily on atmosphere and mood to make this work and it’s brilliant. There’s always a sense of tension and suspense. The creepy part for me was picking up that grenade launcher and that bravo team member gets up. Very dark and spooky.
Great walkthrough. I really like that you dont talk my ear off and just let me see what's going on. Sometimes I wish you would slow down just little so I can see where to go and what I actually need in my inventory. An occasional caption at the bottom explaining why you're doing something a certain way would be awesome too.

I think they should add nemesis as part of RE2 and just add a 3rd campaign to it, would be amazing. RE2 HD with Nemesis add on, as it was always supposed to just be an add on to RE2. Great game though. @bryan, they remastered 6? but isn't that current gen? I have them all other than the first revelations on PC though.

Honestly, it could have been the eerie music but going into that room with the insect lures used to creep me out... and that ‘Bee Specimen’ coming to life & attacking at the end of the puzzle didn’t help!

Toughest enemy to fight/avoid in your opinions? I always thought the dogs were the worst and most tense. Of course the one shot of the original hunters, and the Snake boss, but once you know what you are doing those are managed more easily than the dogs. Dogs were just so fast. Every RE game they are the most annoying.
+A Fatty (Mumbles) Black Tiger's attack hitboxes and attack patterns were the most annoying for a no damage run. Dogs are a threat when a handgun is used.
Let me just say, your skill in this game and knowledge is just unreal. I recently picked this up for my gamecube collection, and after I got past Yawn I realized I used all the ink rolls in the beginning part of the mansion. I managed to get past the death mask Crimson, and said fuck dying after that and found this walkthrough. Thankfully got the residence ink roll. I've never realised how deep this game really goes, and how little of the surface I scratched as a kid. I think understand why Resident Evil has had so much success now, this game is amazing in almost every way.

I never played with Re Remake but I did play a lot with Re1 original.
Thus, I have a few questions:
(1) It seems to me that the hunters are less numerous in the remake than in the original. Am I right or not?
(2) It seems to me that the hunters are easier to beat in the remake than in the original. Am I right or not?

In the original, I'm 100% sure that the hunters were more agile than in
the remake. Plus in the original when you shot at one hunter (like at 2:16:52), you had generaly to run away because otherwise the hunter's counterattack would inevitably hurt you, but in the remake it is not the case. Thus, it seems to me that the hunters are easier to beat in the remake than in the original.
Also, in the original, with Jill, you had to kill inevitably at least 16 hunters, while in the remake, it seems to me that you have to kill less hunters.
Anyway, I'm not interested to argue with you.
Why didint you kill more zombies?
Because I didn't want to die. Only baby mode difficulty gives enough ammo to shoot everything. I suggest you actually watch until the end and see yourself that almost ALL ammo that is found in the game is used. You don't have to like it. But disliking it because I'm not wasting ammo is stupid.

This run is so smooth. I used the IGN guide for my first playrthrough and it was a frustrating mess.
Haha was gonna use the ign one, and was like it does'nt show everything, this walkthrough is just way better, I'm gonna restart the game and follow this walkthrough, I wanted to play horror theme games for halloween, I never played any of the resident evils games.
I'd like to mention that this is on Real Survivor, so all item boxes are disconnected. Likely, for you the back tracking is not necessary. But instead, you'd have to be more careful with the door handle.

I'm just now getting into resident evil. I started by watching game 7 and 8. Now I'm going back to the originals. I tried playing the REmaster on my own but it's so hard without a guide. Props to you for doing this run on ur own! WP. Idk how people completed this game without a walkthrough when it came out :P
The game requires exploration. In the classics it was common to examine every part of the room before proceeding further. The remake makes it easy by having room completion shown on the map. Thanks for using my video. This walkthrough is based on real survivor difficulty, where all item boxes are disconnected. If you see backtracking, you don't have to mimick it. Finally, the door knob does not break here, so be careful, as on your difficulty it will.

I've played through the original Playstation game, the Gamecube RE-make, and now this HD PC version dozens of times, and totally amazed at the gameplay in this video. So impressive how you dodge so many time-killer enemies while taking zero damage! Awesome job, and I use this video as a blueprint for completing the game quicker.

This game is excellent.
I honestly, can’t play it anymore because I grew out of the tank controls as well as the pacing but I still appreciate how much craft they put into this game.
The makers relied heavily on atmosphere and mood to make this work and it’s brilliant. There’s always a sense of tension and suspense.
The creepy part for me was picking up that grenade launcher and that bravo team member gets up. Very dark and spooky.
The remasters have an optional free thumbstick control if you're not into the tank controls.

A big flaw I thought the remake did was not having Jill to narrate the intro instead of Chris when picking her.

Sometimes I wish you would slow down just little so I can see where to go and what I actually need in my inventory. An occasional caption at the bottom explaining why you're doing something a certain way would be awesome too.

I think they should add nemesis as part of RE2 and just add a 3rd campaign to it, would be amazing. RE2 HD with Nemesis add on, as it was always supposed to just be an add on to RE2. Great game though.

CODE VERONICA, btw revelations 1 feels like it’s more important and true to form than the other modern RE games (If you include all the dark side / umbrella chronicles) very very fun games, I feel like over the shoulder gives me more anxiety, And I think the RE7 mechanic plus that over the shoulder view is going to be the future of RE, it’s amazing I’m so excited to see what shall come

I must really like this game...I have a copy for the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 4. beat the PS4 version twice with Jill but keep forgetting to save Chris.
Played this game for the first time since the original and beat it with a time of 9 hours+ haha. Scared me so many times during my playthrough :D

Honestly, it could have been the eerie music but going into that room with the insect lures used to creep me out... and that ‘Bee Specimen’ coming to life & attacking at the end of the puzzle didn’t help!

I was playing and my area had a power problem so my ps4 shut down and i hadn't saved so now so much progress is gone.... I'm so demotivated to go again I might just finish ur video instead... Idk what to do u think it's worth to replay or watch

Toughest enemy to fight/avoid in your opinions? I always thought the dogs were the worst and most tense. Of course the one shot of the original hunters, and the Snake boss, but once you know what you are doing those are managed more easily than the dogs. Dogs were just so fast. Every RE game they are the most annoying.
+A Fatty (Mumbles) Black Tiger's attack hitboxes and attack patterns were the most annoying for a no damage run. Dogs are a threat when a handgun is used.
Which ones are the Black Tiger again? I haven't finished watching yet. You dodge like a boss, though. You make it look so much easier than it is. :)

Let me just say, your skill in this game and knowledge is just unreal. I recently picked this up for my gamecube collection, and after I got past Yawn I realized I used all the ink rolls in the beginning part of the mansion. I managed to get past the death mask Crimson, and said fuck dying after that and found this walkthrough. Thankfully got the residence ink roll.
I've never realised how deep this game really goes, and how little of the surface I scratched as a kid. I think understand why Resident Evil has had so much success now, this game is amazing in almost every way.
