Good video George 👍 can't believe how much u have ploughed and paint still in the boards 🙄 and ur extremely lucky u got the kind of soil that's not just cloggin up😕, yeh be good to have Liz post some o her videos on ur channel why not 👍👍👍
Smashing bit of ploughing George - why not use auto steer indeed, it’s no good having these “modern” things if you don’t use them. You certainly look well relaxed in that cab. No problem with you incorporating videos from Liz at all - her photos are great and as you said she has a different take on things, you make a great couple / team! It’s just a real pleasure being able to watch all your excellent farming videos and gain the insight and experience of farming life.
Professional, experienced and hugely skilled operators like George do not need auto steer. You do a top job at ploughing without it and when done you can be proud and think (my skills did that)... No pride what so ever in auto steer.
Kenneth Green - you can still be proud of the work even using auto steer why not? But, it would be totally different if it was in a ploughing match competition ........ no way - not allowed!
@@trevorjarvis3021 Trevor (and George) I owe you both an apology as I made my comments before fully watching the whole video so I am sorry. I watched the first 5 minutes or so then went off to eat with the intention of watching all of it later on. When I made my comment George had not mentioned he was use GPS so I mistakenly thought (and it is my mistake) that George was not and that Trevor was being critical of that (which I now know you were not). Sorry about that.
Tell you what George, as a kid there's NOTHING more satisfying than corn leading. Because you're tearing about flat out. However, a few years later, ploughing IS the most satisfying job, any farm, any tractor, anywhere in the world. Don't know why, it just is.
Great vid George, I have always watched since the beginning but don’t often comment. I will watch anything that goes on the channel, I love the drone stuff like hearing about the dogs and love all the kit. Keep up the good work. I have no idea why I like watching your stuff, I spend all day doing the same things as you then come home and watch you do it. I suppose it’s getting another perspective. Thanks George, Archie.
Nice vid as always George. Think its high time to splash out ona new shirt ole boy!!! Think that ones for cleanin the dip stick now boss. Take it easy lad. Nice one.
I always watch Liz's content so having it here on your channel sounds like a great idea to me and after all your a team together so why the hell not i say.
Great vid as usual George , sadly for me ploughing has been knocked on the head and bosses son has got a misery / Mzuri drill last year and taken over so no ploughing or cultivations for me . There’s been a lot more black grass this year but I think there’s still a place for ploughing to control it but hey ho what do I know. Would like to see more of Liz’s videos on here too 🚜💨 Ta ta
Piper doug: I watched a coyote up in bellingham wash in a field next to the refinery at cherry point. As the coyote moved through the field a redtailed hawk was following it closely. As the coyote groused up a mouse the hawk would flip onto it before the coyote had a chance and then be gone with the mouse. both good mousers.
Think you and liz working together has works well in the past. Reckon would work really well. Trying to get my wife involved with mine. Not much success so far
Setting the plughing width from 14” to more would probably help for better stubble covering if you want to but I think you’ve made a great job and there is no need for this.
@@tomyhr501 lots of plows are off set to one side of the tractor, so when you put the working width and the center distance in it will change with every pass when the plow turns around at the headlands. So you need a way to tell the tractor that the plow center distance changes from one side of the tractor to the other.
@@leussinkfarms it really is as simple as tomyhr501 suggests, as long as you have got the correct width entered that's all you need, no offsets needed.
@@GeorgeSaunders I have lemken jewel 8 on land plow and a off set is needed. But when the plow rolls over at the headlands the off set changes from side to side. I couldn't find any way to program it in, like a way line nudge, so I hand to just nudge the wayline over all the time at the headlands. Or you line your self up and use auto wayline. It moves the wayline where ever the tractor is. It's only on the Fendt tractors.
Great video George think you could just shout out liz has video or you and liz make video together want ever is easier for you guys just please keep them coming cheers 👍
Shame there is no plow that is based on the oblong shape frame where the plows blades go along it's length in a straight line so that when you plow near the headland there is no zigzag plowed lines where you then have to plow along that to have a fully lined up plowed area? The oblong shape could be like the cultivators but a plow and even unfold to give you a huge plowing area and fold up to get through small gates to fields. the oblong design even could have a cultivator section behind the plow blades so you do two jobs at once.
Another fantastic video with the drone footage. Maybe Liz could do the drone footage while you are driving the tractor? haha. Just a thought. BTW how much counter weight do you have on the front?
My personal opinion is, if I wanted to see liz's vids then I'd watch them on her channel. I'm probably the only one who thinks that way but maybe one collab with her wouldn't be bad

Always love watching Liz on her channel. Think it’s a good idea to put her vids on your channel.
Great video. Id say those fendts are a really nice place to spend a day in..
Would be great to see Liz on the channel. Even better to watch her tell you off about ploughing in your best shirt!

I can't remember stuff from last week but can remember the names of villages and places I went for holidays when I was a kid 35 years ago. It's weird.
Go for it George. Let Liz put some vids up on your channel. I enjoy what she does with the livestock along side your arable vids. 🚜👍 🇦🇺
100% behind the vids idea.
Didnt even know she had a channel, just subbed to it.

Good video George 👌🏻 ya I'd like to see liz's videos on your channel 👍🏻
Georgie when we going to see liz a bit more on the farming side on tractors, plots ,and harvesting please .xx Terry
Yes it would be great!!
Do a video on how to set the GPS for on land plowing.
Simply record a straight or curved line from A to B and thats it :-)

Why dont they use those big plows like in the US with the long tines. Chisel plows. In the UK. They seem to get more done quicker ?
Anyone?
Technology is great at making us thick, ploughing the next skill to be wiped out in a generation or so.
Yup. We don’t have gps so I have to learn and do it the old way😂 our farm is too small so we will never get gps
Ta-Ta George,thanks.
Yer mix it up a bit George id welcome liz 👍
Oi George, hw Do ya' plough if ya got tire ruts in the field? Parallel or cross?

Great video George think you could just shout out liz has video or you and liz make video together want ever is easier for you guys just please keep them coming cheers 👍
Nice work! Whats your C1, 7 km/h? Whats your TMS value min-max? TMS settings is always ON or only when plough is down?
Do you get many gulls around usually when your ploughing ? They unreal near us, hard to get the drone near the tractor
Nice 1 again George👍. Have you got a new truck or is it company vehicle? Would be great to have Liz on and the dogs too. Love the 724

Maby
Any thoughts on no till / cover crops etc?
Why don't you use a cultivator?Like a horsch terrano or someting,or a disc like the joker
We don't just use a plough, we use various different methods of getting ground ready, look at previous videos and you will see that.
Think you need a clean change of clothes mate! 😂
Will you be getting the tw ploughing
what is the depth of ploughing?
Yes put liz on
You look tired George
My personal opinion is, if I wanted to see liz's vids then I'd watch them on her channel.
I'm probably the only one who thinks that way but maybe one collab with her wouldn't be bad
