This game just gets slower and slower as the difficulty increases. Just dont get the point why UL does this. Adding more missions might be a better idea, but this is UL, should not expect anything.

You da man Fox! Another quality lethal zone video accomplished. I just started my first lethal zone community yesterday, 100% fresh start. All was well, until a bloater spawned in front of my car. I had a community member following for more loot capacity. Needless to say, we both have blood plague now and no way to upgrade infirmary. We big dead. Also frustrating, a mysterious broadcast mission wiped my only allies. The crossbow killer mission one. Sucks. Going to give it another go today, with a bit more patience. Thanks for the quality content Fox!
My tactic for lethal zone was, ya know establish the base, etc, but I don't activate the first mission instead I find a car, or fuel. Cars are what keep you alive in lethal and nightmare. Survey the area, take out all the plague hearts, then I start the main mission and by then I'm done with the game! Good video!
So much bug, when i use the repair kit instead of repair, my car exploded same thing happen again the 2nd time after it exploded, the car fly somewhere as you said SOD physics. Love your video man. Rewatched all your nightmare marathon
Shit the Ranger vehicle is my go to assault vehicle especially when it gets leveled up. The Van turned into a Vandito is my favorite loot vehicle. Much fun!

Agreed. Your car is your best friend that's why it's essential to have someone with the mechanic skill at the start of any campaign in Nightmare and Lethal. Even Standard can have a shortage of tool kits.
That mission with the Norma & the 45 parts reset so many times on me. when I finally decided to do the mission, there were 8 Norma's spawned with the 45 parts plus the other loot in every one. Plus another 45 parts that respawned when I activated mission.
I remember that happening on my meagher valley playthrough, nothin but normas covering an entire town. And something like it also happening on drucker county but for legendres, only 4 of em tho
That recruitment problem happened to me too, I had to restart the game and it ended up working. I've noticed some bugs in this patch like for instance a plague Farrel ramming the side of my truck and sticking to it until it blew up that one was loads of fun... I wish I could figure out how to upload that video to Reddit it was pretty crazy.
The "Rookie Mistake" mission will constantly re-spawn Normas with 45 parts (and maybe more) in each one. It never stops. There is a Police station in Prescott that wasn't looted when you flashed over it on your map. There is also that secret hidden Military base on the hill side and the ammo shack if you go south of your base and turn left near that large warehouse. Those did not show on your map so they might be loot worthy.
that's funny, I had my Bloater spawning in late at the same place only than more near the crashed cars. Was driving slowly to get a feral away from the houses, so was looking behind to see where the feral was and boom random Bloater infront of my car. She didn't survive :(

Fox you should honestly keep some enclaves in neutral because if you do you will have a higher chance to get a echo x3 zedhunter quest since the quest only kills off neutral enclaves
@@fihamakash502 Yup, material outposts are going to be more important. I usually only ever needed 1 and that was more for convenience. Might need 2+ now out of necessity.
This is where kitchen comes in handy. Rationing is a life saver and I’d say it is worth the morale and stamina penalty. Squelones has a Built in lounge/kitchen hybrid. And pair that with a +2 food out post and a garden with water/box of seeds you should just about make positive.
Did u really believe that driving slower than full speed would prevent a pop in bloater? They used to pop in your face as u opened a door back in the day or right as u entered a building 😆 Thats precisely why playing on the lethal is a fuck no till they remove the cheap bs like that thats still an issue, the acrobatics problem, the Red Talon acrobatics & close combat problem, & the zombies either on the ground teleporting up into that cheap running double hit attack or that attack in general.
It looks like you will just never be playing lethal then lol kinda a shame. It is a lot of fun, definitely worth a try (although either with a community you dont care about, or a fresh start).
I've had the weird 'can't recruit bug' happen to me before too. Sometimes they're part of a bigger story quest, other times never can figure out. Doesn't bartending kind of act as a chemistry trait?
That's great. Good luck with your game. Im also playing lethal trying to play as stealthy as you, but I get really impatient and lost a guy to blood ferals. Lucky dodge on the boater BTW, I hate when those happen especially when there's a horde nearby.
Your super lucky by this point in the game I have to deal with jugs no matter what my standing is. And I always have to deal with loads of screamers bloated and feral as soon as I start game 100s of zeds
I'm definitely not lucky. This is how the game always is for me. It's been like this all 5 seasons in a row. It's also been like this in every Nightmare Zone season. I think people are just exaggerating their experience. I have well over 1000 hours in this game, and I have never experienced this sort of "dooms day apocalyptic" beginning.

He's resistant to the plague not immune. Which basically means he contracts blood plague 100% less than your average person. For example say it takes 2 blood feral hits to infect one with blood plague with that person with 100% infection resistance it would take 4.
@Git Gud Fox The map can show that houses in the construction zone, upper left side of the map, as pre looted, but you still need to drive over there cause some houses are NOT prelooted, map lies. I also thought that area is a waste but once I drove over there some houses turned into lootable, especially those half built houses and got plenty of material rucksacks.
I know the recruiting has been weird. I've had the option to recruit someone in an allied enclave show up, and then just dissappear a minute later altogether all of a sudden for no reason. (Often after choosing to trade with them first). I think its a bug, as that was happening even before lethal zone came out.
Hey Fox, Do you think friendly/ally enclaves should be better armed to match the level difficulty we chose to play on. I'm on lethal zone got into some trouble ran to an enclave for help but all they had was one pistol and a crossbow. Not much help.
Well I went and did it. I finished my dread zone and went straight to lethal. Went good until I was driving at night of day 2 and the zombie I thought was a regular zombie turned and revealed it's fat red belly. I didn't hit it, but I was close enough that it exploded anyway. RIP whatever her name was, RIP my Echo X2 crossbow, and RIP my freaking car. I was halfway across the map (Providence) from base, and was almost to the bounty trader to pick up my Ice Axe. My other 2 survivors are injured (one from deciding not to use a ladder), so it's going to be a while before I can hoof it way over there to get my ride.
I find that on the harder difficulties you can accumulate more of a certain rescource but then missing one of the others. Mine is lacking all foods but has plenty of materials and ammo. Btw game is way more updated now. Another playthru??

Is it just me, or do some of the melee weapons seem to kill the zombies more efficient now since the last update? Especially those with a high kill potential.
I can't imagine he is playing from scratch. My main Nightmare Zone community might be able to have all the legacies done by now if I just went ham on the game, but not when playing a from scratch + additional limitations challenge playthrough.
Bit surprised to see you call in communities twice, but not resources despite constantly bemoaning the lack of building materials 😁 Better to make your influence solve the pressing problems, I reckon!
I like the videos but damn he is to good lol. I would like to see him do a lethal playthrough like a normal player would. Killing screamers etc if they are in his way. Not using any of the tactics that kinda cheese the game. That way we get alittle more drama and intense moments. On episode 5 so farnso maybe the game hits hard at some point lol
That's been a common request since Nightmare Zone, but it is a misunderstanding of how the difficulty works not just in the sense that you're on a higher difficulty but it just isn't logically possible. If I had to go around killing tons of zombies, I would VERY quickly bankrupt myself on parts and ammo for basically 0 reward since killing zombies barely gets you anything on Nightmare Zone and Lethal Zone.

But you also notice people love tom brady and they love to see him work his magic when the games not going quiet right lol. Your tom brady and we want to see you put in a bad spot and work your way out lol. I tried being you lastnight, 30 seconds after walking out of my just claimed base in a new game...a feral attackd me. Beats the crap outta me and i run back to base and bust through the gate as it tackles me and kills me. 1 minute into the game im down a survivor lol. Do it fox! Play it like a casual player would play.
That's my point though: it wouldn't be fun to watch. I'll tell you why. I'd be out of ammo every episode so no shooting. You can't fire guns if you have no ammo. I'd be out of parts for repairs every episode so no melee combat. Then I'd be back to where I would normally play: avoiding unnecessary combat. The reason why I don't play "like a casual" isn't because I want to deprive the viewers of battles. It's because the series wouldn't go anywhere. There'd be no progression because you'd spend all your time doing basically nothing. Every episode would be "Yep, I'm back in the Casual Lethal Zone and... we're still out of ammo so I guess we're going to... neverminded, I can't afford weapon repairs, so we're just going to take the car out for a spin and find someplace the zombies aren't and loot some things!"
If you want to see a better balance of weird things happening, I'd suggest watching I think season 8 of Nightmare Zone. That was the "quarantine" season if I remember right. It was a special challenge season.
I don’t want you to fight zombies for the sake of it. But I’d like to see how you deal with a triple blood feral pack.... Basically the only thing I am scared on this game.
I thought a salvage furnace only applied to converting a "pile of broken weapons" to parts. Will a salvage furnace mod increase the number of parts you get from just manually scrapping melee weapons and guns too?
Sometimes enclaves wont let you recruit because they are about to trigger a mission, for example I wouldn't be able to recruit and then when I left the house I got a "I need a rucksack" quest popped up from them. I assume that wasn't the case for you and it bugged or something... either way both quite annoying!
This game was probably one of the buggiest games I've ever played when it first came out. They fixed so much over time. Then lethal zone drops. Crazy zombie spawns, freezing when searching containers, if your car is touching anything when you go to repair it it turns into a 🚀 or blows up. Needs a bug fix pronto. Can't wait for 3 to come out. Animal zombies?😬
Who knows? I just hit the record button and do things. About half of my brain power is dedicated to playing the game, and the other half of my brainpower is dedicated to thinking of things to say.
6:40 this is what I mean. How do people like this? This is what I hate about lethal. I've passed 5 houses that were blacked out cause they were looted. I at least found one military zone that had 2 guns but thats about it and they sucked. I think and this is just me. State of decay is meant to be played by gradually bumping up the difficulty and looting as much good stuff as you can early on. I started a new community on lethal and didnt get far before all my characters were dead.
This video was originally about 1:10:00 long. There was a TON of driving around looking through the towns to see what was up.

You should've taken that Ranger SUV, it has more storage and it's much faster than the Miragra.

upon starting my game a bloater exploded far away after the intro scene. Somehow that led 15 zombies and a screamer 200 feet over to meeeeeeee

Some times I wish they changed it to bloaters either loaded in first or would load in from farther away.

I had the same problem recruiting an ally. I think it is a new bug. When I went back into the game later, it was possible to recruit them.
I'll keep that in mind.
Or I may have waited until they made another request. I can't quite remember! Only that I did finally recruit one of them.

I'm surprised you haven't been using the find rucksack radio command to buy materials. It's annoying to track them down but cheap and guaranteed.
I found a bug with the rooftop sniper enclave bonus for some reason they would not shoot juggernauts at all.

That allied enclave you couldn't recruit might have another quest. I've gotten some enclaves that give 2 benefits.

Once you get up to 6 people food starts becoming a problem. Especially if most of the map is looted by the time you get there

Yeap, I guess the info that bloaters spawn when screamers scream is correct. That bloater spawned because a nearby screamer screamed.

I have a survivor that has 100% infection resistance. He is currently in my infirmary with blood plague. Does that not matter in lethal?

Not using any of the tactics that kinda cheese the game. That way we get alittle more drama and intense moments. On episode 5 so farnso maybe the game hits hard at some point lol

That's been a common request since Nightmare Zone, but it is a misunderstanding of how the difficulty works not just in the sense that you're on a higher difficulty but it just isn't logically possible.
If I had to go around killing tons of zombies, I would VERY quickly bankrupt myself on parts and ammo for basically 0 reward since killing zombies barely gets you anything on Nightmare Zone and Lethal Zone.

But you also notice people love tom brady and they love to see him work his magic when the games not going quiet right lol. Your tom brady and we want to see you put in a bad spot and work your way out lol. I tried being you lastnight, 30 seconds after walking out of my just claimed base in a new game...a feral attackd me. Beats the crap outta me and i run back to base and bust through the gate as it tackles me and kills me. 1 minute into the game im down a survivor lol. Do it fox! Play it like a casual player would play.
That's my point though: it wouldn't be fun to watch. I'll tell you why.
I'd be out of ammo every episode so no shooting. You can't fire guns if you have no ammo.
I'd be out of parts for repairs every episode so no melee combat.
Then I'd be back to where I would normally play: avoiding unnecessary combat.
The reason why I don't play "like a casual" isn't because I want to deprive the viewers of battles. It's because the series wouldn't go anywhere. There'd be no progression because you'd spend all your time doing basically nothing.
Every episode would be "Yep, I'm back in the Casual Lethal Zone and... we're still out of ammo so I guess we're going to... neverminded, I can't afford weapon repairs, so we're just going to take the car out for a spin and find someplace the zombies aren't and loot some things!"
If you want to see a better balance of weird things happening, I'd suggest watching I think season 8 of Nightmare Zone. That was the "quarantine" season if I remember right. It was a special challenge season.
I don’t want you to fight zombies for the sake of it. But I’d like to see how you deal with a triple blood feral pack....
Basically the only thing I am scared on this game.
I thought a salvage furnace only applied to converting a "pile of broken weapons" to parts. Will a salvage furnace mod increase the number of parts you get from just manually scrapping melee weapons and guns too?
It does it to both. The description just isn't particularly clear.
Sometimes enclaves wont let you recruit because they are about to trigger a mission, for example I wouldn't be able to recruit and then when I left the house I got a "I need a rucksack" quest popped up from them. I assume that wasn't the case for you and it bugged or something... either way both quite annoying!
How you kill plague hearts and destroy building infestations on lethal zone?

This game was probably one of the buggiest games I've ever played when it first came out. They fixed so much over time. Then lethal zone drops. Crazy zombie spawns, freezing when searching containers, if your car is touching anything when you go to repair it it turns into a 🚀 or blows up. Needs a bug fix pronto. Can't wait for 3 to come out. Animal zombies?😬
I've also "lost" enclaves but still kept the rewards. That's a bug I can live with though lol
You may regret selling off the chemicals later in the game after there are none and you need meds / ammo resources...

Who knows? I just hit the record button and do things. About half of my brain power is dedicated to playing the game, and the other half of my brainpower is dedicated to thinking of things to say.

6:40 this is what I mean. How do people like this? This is what I hate about lethal. I've passed 5 houses that were blacked out cause they were looted. I at least found one military zone that had 2 guns but thats about it and they sucked.
I think and this is just me. State of decay is meant to be played by gradually bumping up the difficulty and looting as much good stuff as you can early on. I started a new community on lethal and didnt get far before all my characters were dead.
Trading is really big on Lethal Zone. You gotta get a lot of your resources from trading.
