Today I went out to answer the question of does chum REALLY even work? We all know it does in big settings like deep sea fishing and such but is it even worth it in a small pond like the one I fished? Things kind of took an unexpected twist and I may have ditched my test altogether but we still had an awesome day of fishing. Enjoy!

I caught my first carp on topwater, I remember scrolling through YT shorts an my almost falls out of grasps. It was a beautiful 9 pound common.

do a video comparing corn with hair rig hook and corn without i think it would be interesting to see hook up ratio and the amount of bites you get.
Heck yeah I’ve only ever used hair rigs a couple of times so I’d be curious to test it out for myself too to see if it’s worth switching over from normal hooks 🙏 thanks for watching and I appreciate the video idea!

@@FishingWithPorter Oooh i got it. Is it in america a thing, that you use a long rod with a soft tip. On the end of your line you got a cage which weights 30-100gramms (depens on where you fish) where you put in some flour like bait? In germany its called "Feeder fischen" and it is realy effective🎣😁

Size 6 eagle claw plain shank hooks. Pretty much my go to for every fish 🙌

What is better bread or corn
It can go both ways, sometimes bread dominates, other days corn dominates. I always take both and see what’s getting more bites and then double down on it, but they both are pretty much guaranteed success 🙌

@@TysHatch honestly all of the canals that run through the Gilbert and Chandler area are great. The ponds can be hit or miss but I love the canals, hop on Google maps and find any canal and I guarantee you it’s stacked with fish
